[WIP - WoW Guide] Jamba Multiboxing Addon

WIP NOTES - This guide is geared towards the latest Dev version of Jamba (version 0.5) which can be found here. This guide is not intended for version 0.4, nor is it likely such a guide will be produced. I welcome any help spotting literary errors as well as omitted information or misinformation. When this guide is deemed complete, a new post will be made with the completed guide to clear out antiquated responses (contributers will be noted, of course).

The format of this guide (much as the addon) will be modular, dealing with each module individually with appropriate notes added. Sections will be listed in the order they appear on the config list. Any modules not produced by Jafula will be addendumed to the end of the list in a special user-created section. As a side note, this guide wont cover the creation of such modules, simply the use of them.

Jamba - Core



Push Settings For All The Modules

The push settings button sends settings to all team members listed in the "Jamba - Core - Team" module. The button pictured above will send settings from every module at the same time. This may take a couple minutes depending on system performance and server lag.

A similar button is found on nearly every Jamba module that will send settings quickly from that specific module.


Jamba - Core - Profiles



This module deals with storing the settings of all Jamba modules in easy-to-switch profiles. This provides quick switching and importing of Jamba settings for multiple characters.

Reset Profile

This button resets the current character's profile to the default settings. This will wipe out all team configurations. Jamba teams will need to be rebuilt from scratch.

New Profile

Allows the custom naming of the current profile used. Default values will be loaded for the new profile. Simply type in the name you want to use and hit the 'okay' button that appears. New profiles are automatically created by default when the toon is first loaded with Jamba with the format "ToonName - ServerName".

Existing Profile

A list of all profiles saved on the current account. Since Jamba has no global profile pool, slave account profiles are not included. The list includes a server-wide default profile, a game-wide default profile, a class-wide default profile, profiles created by default for specific characters, and any custom named profiles. Just select the preferred profile from the list and the settings will be automatically loaded.

Copy From

Imports the settings from a previously created profile. This overwrites the settings from the currently selected profile.

Delete a Profile

Deletes the selected profile from the system. This deletes the information from the SavedVariables file.
