But I always want the lava burst to be used when its ready and off cooldown and I just realised that there arent any reason to have the commas behind the line: Code: Shaman 2 #show Lava Burst /castsequence reset=combat Lava Burst,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, So Code: #show lava burst /cast Lava Burst Spells like Flameshock is different tho.. There the comma's gets really handy to make sure you benefit the most of the dots from it.. (the dots last longer than the spell's cooldown)

| Depends. If you want Lava Burst to be your fall through spell, then it doesn't need commas for timing. However if you want to use a spell without a recast delay, such as Lightning Bolt, then you would want the commas. Example A Flame Shock,,,,, recast as it expires. Lava Burst,,,, every cooldown. Chain Lightning,,, every cooldown. Lightning Bolt - when everything else is on a comma. Example B Flame Shock,,,,, recast as it expires. Lava Burst - No commas, so this is the fall-through Chain Lightning,,, every cooldown. Lightning Bolt - when everything else is on a comma. Even if we rearrange Example B, so Chain Lightning has higher priority then Lava Burst, when Lava Burst is on cooldown nothing else can cast. |

It will only do this if Lavaburst is a macro with commas.... if it is just the spell it will lockup until Lavaburst is on cooldown (example B).

| Senior Member | If your main /Click macro reaches your Lava Burst spell, and it is on cooldown it will lockup. The commas give you main /Click macro an "empty" spot to sort of "fake click" and so your whole list of /Clicks do not lockup.

| Senior Member | The last spell in your list of /Clicks is the only one that should ever NOT have commas as a general rule.

| They execute top-down, the same as other warcraft macros. If you reach a macro on a comma, that click does nothing for the macro. Which is what allows later (lower priority) macros to do something on the same click. You can also use a "null" effect in a macro. Give a castsequence a spell that does not exist. /castsequence reset=target Hunter's Mark,Null "xx" would work as well as "null" in this case. The castsequence cannot advance beyond the null. But because it is not attempting to cast a spell on cooldown, the later spells (in other sequences) can still fire off. |
