The hunter has five abilities you will want to use. Four will be castsequences, and the fifth is the fall through. The first will initially have commas equal to your spam speed multipled by 15, for the 15 second duration; it will later (once you have Chimera Shot) include a Null so as to not recast it. This assumes your called macros are on the further right of the two vertical bars, using the Blizzard default action bars. Your master click macro will be: #show Serpent Sting <Insert Your Assist Here> /Click MultiBarRightButton1 /Click MultiBarRightButton2 /Click MultiBarRightButton3 /Click MultiBarRightButton4 /Click MultiBarRightButton5 /use 13 /use 14 Macro to put into the first macro slot: #show Serpent Sting /castsequence reset=target Serpent Sting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Same slot, once you have Chimera Shot, change the macro to read: #show Serpent Sting /castsequence reset=target Serpent Sting,Null Macro to put into the second macro slot: #show Arcane Shot /castsequence reset=combat Arcane Shot,,,,,,,,,,,, Macro to put into the third macro slot: #show Multi-Shot /castsequence reset=combat Multi-Shot,,,,,,,,,,,, Macro to put into the fourth macro slot (Note, leave this macro slot open, until you get Chimera Shot; once you have the shot, drag this macro into slot 4): #show Chimera Shot /castsequence reset=combat Chimera Shot,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Fall through macro, in macro slot 5. You drag this spell right from the spell book, to the slot. No need for a macro for this one. Steady Shot I click at two clicks per second, so when a spell has a six second recast delay, I need 2 x 6 = 12 commas. If you spam at 3 clicks per second, then you will need to add additional commas to the macros (3x6 = 18, and 18-12 = 6, so six additional commas, etc.) What spec is your priest? | |

| I'd make another macro, not a click for the hunter. Something like this: #show Hunter's Mark /petattack /castsequence reset=target Hunter's Mark,Null The reason to make it a sequence, instead of a simple /cast, is that way you can spam the macro and not waste your mana. This will mark your current target, and have the pet attack. Once the pet is on the mob, you can then start to spam away with your click macro and the mob will already be engaged by your pet. |

I don't use a cast sequence because I spam so fast I am usually hitting another key by the time the global cooldown has expired on Hunter's Mark heh...

| BTW, if the pet is in defensive mode, it will automatically attack your current target on initiation of combat, although if you don't have Misdirection you probably still want it to attack when you cast Hunter's Mark so that you have no threat issues. Also Auto Shot also starts as soon as the first special shot is fired so it's not necessary to invoke it explicitly.

| No, you don't. Shot clipping was removed with the release of WotLK and the only thing that affects Auto Shot output is movement. If you believe otherwise I'd like URLs supporting your claims ![]() The only reason to explicitly cast Auto Shot is if you open your rotation with Steady Shot as the Auto Shot will be delayed until the completion of the Steady Shot cast, but who does that?

| Senior Member | Considering I hadn't leveled my Hunter since BC, I bow before your judgment. /salute Iru You are correct. Auto-Shot macros of any kind are no longer needed.
