| While I am reworking my entire UI / macros /addons I figured I might want to add some additional functionallity while i was at it. Mainly in PVP in BG's it would be nice when there are 5+ people around to be able to have each shaman Hex a different target (or at least a chance at hexing a different target). Without having to try to individually target on each toon. To my knowlage there is of course no functionallity such as /targetrandom in the game :P But has anyone brainstormed some method to accomplish this?

| In arena, you can target via enemy frames. With Gladius (also arena) you can target via their slot number. I've seen macro's which target different enemies via chains of: /targetenemy or /targetenemyplayer *Edit* Google search for /Targetenemyplayer macro's found this: Toon 1 /targetenemyplayer /cast <spell> Toon 2 /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /cast <spell> Toon 3 /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /cast <spell> Toon 4 /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /cast <spell> Last edited by Ualaa; 11-21-2009 at 02:14 PM. |

| Thats an interesting idea it didnt occur to me that since they are all generally facing the same way that the first, then 2nd, then 3rd and so on things they target with "tab targeting" or the /targetenemy function would be predictable. I'll definitly give this a shot thanks

| Tab targeting and /targetenemyplayer simply chooses the next nearest target from your target (or the nearest target if you have no target) as well as only selecting target in a certain field of view (not nearly as much as the 180 degree field of view that you can cast against).

| is there a reason why /targetenemyplayer is listed 2 times for toon 2, 3 times for toon 3, and 4 times for toon 4? can't you just do /targetenemyplayer /cast <spell> |

| Each time you use /targetenemyplayer, it selects the next enemy. If you use it a different amount of times, each toon could be targeting different players.

| A small adjustment you might want to make so your guys don't chain cast and all stay on the same sequence. Code: /targetenemyplayer /castsequence <spell>,,, Toon 2 /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /castsequence <spell>,, Toon 3 /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /castsequence <spell>, Toon 4 /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /targetenemyplayer /cast <spell> Additionally you could do the following and reduce this from a spam to a single button using /click I believe. Toon1 /click button1, button5 button1=/targetenemyplayer button5=CC Toon2 /click button1, button2, button5 button1=/targetenemyplayer button2=/targetenemyplayer button5=CC Toon3 /click button1, button2, button3, button5 button1=/targetenemyplayer button2=/targetenemyplayer button3=/targetenemyplayer button5=CC Toon4 /click button1, button2, button3, button4, button5 button1=/targetenemyplayer button2=/targetenemyplayer button3=/targetenemyplayer button4=/targetenemyplayer button5=CC

| If you go /targetenemy, its the same as TAB. In that you cycle outwards from tab eligible (hostile) opponents. And /targetenemyplayer is the same, except you cannot TAB onto pets etc., only players. Spreading chain lightning is decent, if you think you'll kill on one hit. If you're not sure, hitting one toon with 4x chain lightning and killing him, is preferable. Asonimie (other forum) is 2200+ on this shammy team (runs with Druid or Pally healer, as a shammy x4). He has Wind Sheer built into the attack macros for each. With each Wind Sheer on a different arena opponent. So every 6 seconds, arena opponents 1-4 have a spell interrupted. Until you have some gear, its a mana drain, but will decent gear its not an issue. |

| Would you guys pretty much say that Gladius is the best arena mod to get? I've never really used much, but could certainly use a mod that shows me names/classes/specs that I could click to target. That would rock. |
