Get off your ass, crack open the Healbot LUA and figure it out!

I know you said without an addon, but it would be much easier with Auctioneer or Quick Auctions, or another auction type addon. It seems a lot more work to do it without an addon, then to just use an addon that is already designed for this task.

If you had it set to only load for a given toon - who is a dedicated auction mule and not used elsewhere... then it wouldn't be wasted resources elsewhere.

O.o I never said anything about auctions?

Re-reading your original post...
I don't see auctions there.

Not sure where I got that from.

Well, both my auction addons can change stack sizes.
Both putting items together for larger stacks, and separating them into singles/smaller stacks.
So it is doable, but not sure how via a macro.

While I haven't looked at the HealBot code, it almost certainly does it the same what that Jamba-Macro does: creates a new button of type macro (as opposed to an action button) and attaches your macro code to that button. It takes about 4 lines of Lua to do, assuming you already have the text you want invoked in place.

Buttons DO NOT have to be on bars to be invoked, especially through /click, they just have to exist and not be anonymous.

tl;dr - You can't do what you want without an addon

Again, can't do it in a macro. This time though the issue is the 255 character limit in a standard macro. Go to line 1283 in TukUI/scripts/bags.lua and you'll see the code that the '/bags stack' command uses. Even allowing for the fact that you only want to stack a single item, you're still not going to get that down to 255 characters.
