Question on Tim's Stream

Hi I have seen Tim type a spell on his main window and it duplicates to all windows how is that done?

Is it done by broadcasting all keys?

Ex: /cast hearthstone

It is typed in all windows and would save me a keybind

Yup, he is using key broadcasting with two settings. Some keys and all keys.

So you would use the "Basic Sample" settings to broadcast some of your keys, and custom #1 to broadcast all of them. Then set a keybind to switch between them

I remember Tim mentioning a future version of Pwnboxer would have something very similar to Repeater Regions which are in IS Boxer.

With IS Boxer, you define a region, which when your mouse enters that area, it is broadcast to the same location on the other screen. Because of how IS Boxer renders the other windows, this is very precise.

The Pwnboxer feature is similar but a bit different. You have the same trigger area which turns on the broadcasting to the other windows. Except that choose which region it broadcasts to, so you're not limited to positioning everything in the same place on each client.

Tim is pretty quick to introduce new features after announcing they'll be in future builds, so its quite likely it is already in PB, or if not that it will be included relatively quickly.



What I've done is made a Repeater Region, the size of a single button. And chosen for it to broadcast to all other characters. And then I've put my hearthstone on the same button for all toons, and dragged the region so its on top of the button.

TLDR:
I can mouse-click the action bar hearthstone on any toon, and have all other toons hearth too.

Hey Scootz!

It is super easy, basically I do this:

In Pwnboxer, in the key broadcasting, I set a hotkey on the first basic/default list of keys (which you can add/remove keys from). My hotkey os ;

Then on the first custom box, I configure it to "Broadcast all keys, but..." option. I set a hotkey to this '


Then, inside the game, if I ever want to cast hearthstone, or use an item on all my guys, or use a particular spell that is randomly used, I simply:

Hit the ' hotkey
Type out the command (eg: /cast hearthstone)
Hit the ; hotkey

BAM - All the guys are now using their hearthstone.

Basically the ' hotkey changes Pwnboxer to broadcast all keys to all guys, enabling you to use random items, or do anything by simply using the /use and /cast commands in WoW.

Extremely easy to set up, extremely helpful
