just curious, why do you set focus, and all that stuff? why not make one macro. /follow <Name> /assist <Name> 2 commands one macro.

basicly, why we use focus is something like the following situation: example 1: Character 1 dies. we fast switch to char2, and click the macro that makes 2 focus for the others. Then we can just continue, instead of being stuck example 2: We are doing an instance, say Something that keeps fearing om MCin one char? then its pretty much handy to be able to switch aswell.

usually this is how I setup my master/slave macros 1. Set Focus (for slaves to focus on the master char) /focus target (you can also set your character name rather than using target but this is more dynamic, if I could find something to target the party leader then it'd be perfect) *like a conditional that says: if you have a target, focus on him; if you have no target, focus on the leader; if you have no target and your leader is dead, focus on a party member that isn't dead (kinda a random last ditch effort)* 2. Follow Command /stopcasting /follow focus /assist focus Last edited by RAZIM; 09-01-2009 at 10:35 AM.

Yup the big reason why I do this is because I have my macros all prepared to be easily switched over to a system whereas any person in my party can become the leader. For example, imagine you have 30 macros, all using the target of a named character CharacterA. Now imagine CharacterA dies, and you want CharacterB to take over. Do you really want 30 macros for each character that is the leader? HECK NO! So instead, simply create the 30 macros using "focus" as the target (Eg. /follow focus). Then you simply need 1 macro per team member to establish their focus, and BAM, now you can instantly make any person in your team become the team leader!

| I am a little confused as to how this works. Im boxing 5 warlocks, using the 3 macros - /focus toona - /follow focus - /assist focus. But I often find myself scrambling to stay alive if toona dies. I may be missing something but I cannot figure out how to make anyone in my party my main toon, and have the others follow him any help?

90% when the tank dies your DOOMED anyway ![]() but in pvp if u going to do any pvp at all focus works better then u can just pick up the other ones + they allways kill the leader of the group as they think you they wipe u easy but thats not ture with the focus and the sceen changes then when u got time just go pick up the one that died
