| So, let me preface this thread with saying I am new to WoW, but not new to multiboxing. My ultimate goal is to write a set of macros for both my Hunter and my Priest that can easily let me control both of them effectively for DPS and healing in a dungeon run with 3 others that I am not controlling. I figure having both my characters DPSing at the same time is an easy macro set. I've been thinking about this all day, and the only real possibilities I had thought of is to use the Priest as my main game, and control the Hunter through keybindings. Right now I have my F1-F9 buttons acting as 1-9 on my second game, however switching targets is difficult since I'm using no macros at this moment. Any help on macro sets for both characters that would let me push maybe the "1" key to begin DPSing on a target with my Hunter and still be able to heal the group with my priest? |

| I'd probably have a DPS Castsequence macro for each character. Put the Hunter's on say both 1 and 2. Put the Priests on 1, but not on 2. That way, you can have them both DPS or alternatively, have the Hunter DPS while the Priest is able to heal without issue. Seriously consider a Discipline based spec, instead of a Holy spec for the Priest. You can spell cap Smite with the glyph and talent it so when you Smite, it heals the most damaged ally within a fairly decent range of the Smite target. Pain Suppression will halve the damage a target takes, PW: Shield will absorb a fair amount of damage, etc; basically adding up mitigation + healing, is equal to Holy's straight healing power. For the Priest, if you're not driving this toon have 2-3 assist based macros for healing. Something like: #Show Renew /Assist [Target=Hunter'sName] /Cast [Help][Help,@TargetTarget] Renew #Show Heal /Assist [Target=Hunter'sName] /Cast [Help][Help,@TargetTarget] Heal With these, you assist the Hunter (if you're leading with the Hunter, that lets you target a friendly to heal them). If the Hunter's target is hostile the [Help] condition fails, which means it will attempt to cast at the Target of the Hunter's Target (which should be the Tank). If you PvP, add a third conditional [Help,@TargetTargetTarget]; this won't apply often, but will sometimes. If you plan on driving the Priest, you can manually control the heals. I'd look into Grid + Clique, Healbot or Vuhdo. This will get you a frame, which you can heal by clicking on. I would set up heals as Alt + Left (click), Alt + Right, Ctrl + Left, Ctrl + Right, Shift + Left, Shift + Right. You can also use mouse thumb buttons or even the scroll wheel. I don't like to use straight Left/Right clicks, as I like to be able to trade with my party freely. If you plan on driving with the Hunter, Vuhdo/Healbot can function as it, but Grid would also require Grid Custom Layouts. You would want to set up an alphabetical sort, so it is the same on every screen. Then set up a Repeater Region (that's a feature built into the IS Boxer software, but which you can add to any software via a free Hot Key Net script). Here's a how-to link for that: Mouse Broadcasting with HKN. With a Repeater Region, it will broadcast from the current window to the target window, automatically enabling broadcast while the mouse is in the area and turning it off once the mouse leaves the area. With identically placed frames and the same alphabetical sorting, you can use Click based healing on the Priest from the Hunter's screen; I use this method of healing, for all of my 5-box teams, without having to be on the healer toon(s) at all.
