Looting

What is the 'official' way that multiboxers should loot?
I know its each to their own... but my looting at the moment is click.. click click click on each item. Since i've unbound the loot all key.

Each to their own really.

One of my groups has loot settings on FFA and the leader just loots everything and they distribute later, or vendor etc. I prefer this with my caster group.

The other group leaves on group loot setting. Just press target the corpse and press IWT which makes whichever toon the loot belongs to walk over to it and pick it up. I prefer this with my melee group.

So if I press IWT can I get the character to loot everything? So I could have a IWT target for each character? That sounds good...

I set loot to group loot and have all my followers pass on loot. makes disenchanting everything really easy.

Depends on the situation.

Interact With Target, gets the team to loot the corpse, irregardless of who's turn it may be. And when you've looted everything, your skinner will skin the target if it is skinnable.

In instances, with trash loot you don't care about (ie, you won't get cloth even), you can switch to Master Looter, set the loot threshold to Green's or Blue's (etc), set the active character as your Master Looter, and have everyone else Pass on Loot. This then forces loot of your threshold or higher (Green, Blue, etc) to sparkle for the active toon, telling you to Master Loot it to anyone (yourself included) in the party, but nothing else sparkles for this toon.

Until I read Ualaa's post, the way I used to set my loot is:

Group Loot - 3 slaves Pass:Yes
Master Pass:Yes
Last slave Pass No

This would do basically the same thing but was more of a hassle since my main box could see the loot but I had to switch to my slave to "roll" on it to get it. TY Ualaa for making my life easier!!!

Why didn't you want to pass on your final slace? What was that purpose?

The reason was that in my now old set up, loot would sparkle on my main, I would loot and the roll would come up on my slave that wasn't passing. Trust me it was more trouble than Ualaas.... LOVING IT

\When I press IWT it doesn't actually loot, it just opens up the corpse.
Is there an addon I need for this?
