| This post should help people do some macro writing for multiboxing from an introduction perspective. For this guide, we will use F1 - F12 as your macro hotkeys. We will also assume you have the Bartender4 mod on all your characters which allows you to have extra bar space for macros. To start, take a look at how your multiboxed team is assembled. For this guide, we will assume you have 3 multiboxed characters:
The first thing you should do is go to each character's keybindings and remove F1 - F12 from doing anything, Eg, target party1, target party2, etc. We want to free up these keys to do our multiboxed macros. Now on your AltB and AltC characters, type /macro and add these 3 macros: Code: /focus MainA Code: /follow focus Code: /assist focus Now assign your ranged attack to the hotkey bar as F12 and F11. Example: Drag Lightning Bolt to F12 or Arcane Shot, etc. Put 1 attack in F12, another in F11. Now create another macro to invite your 2 characters into 1 group Code: /invite AltA /invite AltB Now make the MainA target a mob. Once he has a mob targeted, hit the F3 button. Your alts should now automatically be targetting your MainA's target. Now hit F12 or F11 and BAM - You're multiboxing! |

| I've been trying to use theses macro's for the past day so far anytime i hit the /focus anything it says unknown unit. While targeted on my main typing /assist only brings up my alt though the main's targeting a mob and even has it on focus. Iam sure iam missing something or just dumb lol. Any help at all would be great, thanks. |

| Are all your characters grouped? If they are not in a party, they won't work.

| Focus shouldn't require a group, but if you're not in the same group/raid then you need to be within a short range of them. Obviously the invite toons into the party macro won't require a group either. If it is entirely a macro, without targeting and then pressing focus, I generally use: /focus [target=ToonName] |
