Default Improved DK tank macro

I've been using a DK tank macro found here but its not really that great.

This is what I have:
Quote:
/castsequence reset=combat/6 Icy Touch,Plague Strike,Pestilence,Blood Boil,Death Strike,Icy Touch,Plague Strike,Blood Boil,Heart Strike, Plague Strike,Blood Boil,Icy Touch,Heart Strike
/cast !Rune Strike
For threat this works great. But... It uses Death Strike only once, and to make the best use of mastery it should Death Strike as often as possible. Not sure how to put a priority based rotation into a macro, any thoughts would be appreciated.

So far it seems a warrior makes the best multiboxing tank. A passive mastery stat and simple rotation.

Default Re: Improved DK tank macro

Some thoughts on DK macros.
Unfortunately, no suggestions/improvements on your macro.

You have 2x Blood, 2x Frost and 2x Unholy runes, in total.
And each regenerates 5 seconds after they've been spent.

You could built a ten second macro, that uses up to six runes.
Or a five second macro, using three runes.

It is also worth noting, each spec has abilities that cause the least useful rune for their spec to regenerate as a Death Rune.
Meaning, as Frost my Obliterate sequence is: Obliterate (1x Frost, 1x Unholy) x2, Blood Strike (1x Blood) x2.
Because, when my two Blood Runes regenerate, they're Death Runes which allows 3x Obliterate in the next 10 second window instead of 2x.

Anyway...
Balance between threat, Death Strikes for the healing and mastery, and rune use.
With the runic power dump thrown in.

I've found any tank works great, boxed.
Provided you are driving the tank.

However, the Paladin requires the least amount of micro-management.
You could use Interact With Target (against any target that had no facing requirement) and go entirely with a macro and miss almost no efficiency... even while driving your healer.

Druids are generally the next best tank, when boxed.
Although prior to 81st, they lack Thrash which severely hurts them.
In 4.1, Swipe will be usable every 3 seconds, which will help with AoE.

I've found Warriors to have the most management requirements.
Meaning they take the most concentration to play effectively.
Which translates into less attention for other aspects of play, such as positioning/facing, managing procs/cc on the DPS or managing the healing of the team.

If you drive the tank, any of them will work.
It usually comes down to a preference.
