Help: target your target's focus macro

was able to find time and did my first instance with my nth team (not sure until now what team to be my main) this weekend. it was successful except for some wipes with some slaves running everywhere (was it lag?) pulling several groups. here is how i setup my targetting but i might revert to the focus method (reason explained later).

on the slaves’ big button, i setup something like this:

/target Main
/click ActionButton1

and their castsequence macros (attack skills) look like:

/castsequence [@targettarget] reset=target/combat Spell,,,,,

or…

/target [@targettarget]
/castsequence reset=target/combat Spell,,,,,

with this, i was able to free-up my focus so i can save it for CC and interrupts when needed (which i never had the chance to use). the problem with this is that “reset=target” will not work as intended since your big button re-sets your target to your main. i prefer the reset=target function so i can optimize my DPS rotation thus i might go back to the focus method instead.

so….do you guys have a better method to free-up your focus (at least for the slaves) for other tasks?

P.S.
btw, i addressed the healing (reason for the original post) by making a macro based on modifiers to heal my party and used the dockable buttons. only problem is that i never was a healer before so sometimes i forget to click and heal, it is chaotic …and fun.
