| from what has been said so far it sounds like most people are using there main to TARGET the guy who needs to be healed....this takes time that you don't always have. I have been looking around on the net for Heal Macros and i found this....doesn't seam to work "as is" since wow changes things in updates that brake macros. Heal Nearest Friend #2 This will target all your nearby friendly player characters in turn and cast a heal on the first one it comes to with a health level that is below a certain percentage of maximum (in this example 70%). Repeated calls to the macro will step through all nearby friends needing heals until it targets you. The macro checks the health of up to 40 nearby friendly player characters. If a call to this macro casts no heal then neither nearby friendly player characters nor yourself have a health level below the threshold of 70% of maximum. Change spell and rank as needed. Depending on your play style, remove or change the last part to: ClearTarget() or TargetLastTarget() /script local t="target" for i=1,40 do TargetNearestFriend() if UnitHealth(t)/UnitHealthMax(t)<0.7 then if UnitIsPlayer(t) then CastSpellByName("Flash Heal(Rank 5)") end end end TargetLastEnemy() anyone know what is broken and how to fix it? | The best method for heals so far, seems to be with a "Repeater Region". You get an addon like Grid, Healbot, Open RDX or Vuhdo, to display the party, battleground or raid in frames. Generally, go for an alphabetical sort, so a given frame refers to the same target on every toon. Position the frames so they're the same for every toon. With repeater regions, when the mouse in over a region, it enables broadcast to the clients of your choice. This could be just your priest, in a 1x Tank, 3x DPS, 1x Healer set up. This could be your all your shaman in a 1x Paladin, 1x Warlock, 3x Shaman set up. We also need a method to interpret clicks. Grid and Open RDX will be paired with Clique, while Healbot and Vuhdo can interpret clicks on their own. I have my priest set up like this: ....Left Click.... = Renew ....Alt + Left... = Power Word: Shield ....Ctrl + Left.. = Prayer of Mending ....Right + Alt. = Penance ....Right + Ctrl = Flash Heal I already have keybinds for Holy Nova and Prayer of Healing. A little less useful, but generally workable is assist based healing. Have a macro, for each commonly used heal, which assists the tank and then casts if that target is friendly. Or if that target is hostile, assist it and cast if the new target is friendy. The syntax is: #show Spell Name <Insert Assist Here> /cast [Help] Spell; [Help, Target=TargetTarget] Spell; [Help, Target=TargetTargetTarget] Spell Generally, the weakest is target specific macros. With the assist based, you might want to go this route too. Basically have a key to Flash Heal each of your toons. So in a five box group, this is five macros and five keybinds on the healer. But then you can heal any toon, as they need it. One trick you can do, is to configure Jamba, so when a toon drops below a percentage of their health, to annouce they need a heal. Your message might be: "Rogue's Name" needs a heal, press Shift F9. Naturally, pick the keybind for the toon specific heal. Repeater regions are the strongest option, because no matter who is in your party, raid or battlegroup, their icons are arrayed across your screen in the same position on every toon. So you can be on the healer, any of the DPS, or the tank. A left click or a control right click will do the same heal. You have the option to pre-cast HoTs via clicks, even on someone not targeted by you. The Assist based macros let you heal whoever is currently targeted by your tank or who is being hit by the mob your tank is attacking. However, you cannot target someone else without having the tank target whatever. Straight target based macros are the least flexible. In a 15 man Arathi Basin, you would need 75 macros to cover what my priest does on 5 click types. And unlike the macro based healing, the grid frames auto update to whoever is in my party/raid.

| This no longer works as of BC (2.0). It looks like you got this macro from a priest healing thread off of wowforums which was posted around 2006. Macros can no longer make decisions based off of target health. |

| USING FTL So my macros heals the correct people. But, if they are attacking with a channeling spell they have to wait till there done and then i have to click my heal button again. I'm looking for a way to stop-casting and then cast the heal spell all in one button click. I can do it in 2 clicks but if i hit it a third time it cancels my heal. Code: /stopcasting /cast [target=Seana] Healing Wave |

| If you don't spam the macro, a stopcasting and /cast should work fine. Not sure on a syntax for a macro, which is spammable without interrupting your heal, but which will stop other casts to heal immediately.

| Can't be done. That would require the macro to have insight into your current action, which is basically conditional logic, which has been a class 1 no-no since patch 1.10 |

| I use healbot click-to-cast Otherwise I use only 2 macros then for healing, one which cast's on my tank's target otherwise the tank and then my Circle of Healing(target=self)/Prayer of Healing macro. |

| I use Grid + Clique, and the repeater regions of IS Boxer. Every screen has the toons listed in alphabetical order. From any window, I click the Grid for the toon who needs healing. It sends the click to my healer window (dedicated healer teams) or to my 4x Shammies (teams with a type who do both DPS and Heals), who then heal based on how I clicked. I don't have to change my target for my tank. The DPS doesn't have to change their target either. Just quickly mouse click on the frame, and done.
