| Hi, I have just recently started Multiboxing and I can say im solidly hooked. I want to start learning and hopefully using the FTL method. The macros for me are difficult as I have yet to fully grasp just what is happening with the macro language. So I have a druid tank and 4 Shammies that I attempting to setup for FTL. I figured I should start small and work my way up to controlling all 5 with FTL. here is my setup sofar Wigglespank = SHIFT Wiglettea=CTRL Wigletteb=ALT Here is the macro I gave to all 3 HTML Code: /target [mod:shift,@=Wigglespank][mod:ctrl,@=Wiglettea][mod:alt,@Wigletteb] /follow /targetlasttarget Wiglettea will target me but not follow. Wigletteb will not target me nor follow. If i press the chat keys on both WigA and WigB and then press the follow key from Wigglespank I dont see the 6 key as I would expect. I see the ^ key instead. If i change this to just two toons Wigglespank, and Wiglettea and modify the above macro to look like this HTML Code: /target [mod:shift,@=Wigglespank][mod:ctrl,@=Wiglettea] /follow /targetlasttarget It seems that ALT,and CTRL isnt being recognized as a modifier. I have gone back thru the key mapping on all the toons and can verify that Alt,and CTRL are left unbound throughout all 3 chars. Please help me shed some light on this. Thanks in advance for any assistance you all can provide. Last edited by wiggy; 06-06-2010 at 01:31 PM. |

| Okay, after practically pulling my hair out last night, decided to just step away from this and take a break. So I came back to it today after a nights rest and re did my macros. Low and behold things started working. This is what I came up with. Code: /target [modifier:shift, target=Wigglespank][modifier:ctrl, target=Wiglettea][modifier:alt, target=Wigletteb] /follow /targetlasttarget Wigglespank=shift Wiglettea=ctrl Wigletteb=alt Wiglettec= Wigletted= I know I'm going to want to use a combination of ctrl&alt, alt, shift ..... Is there a wrong way to do it? Code: [modifier:alt, modifier:shift, target=Wiglettec] Code: [modifier:shift, modifier:alt, target=Wiglettec] |

| I know you can use [mod] instead of [modifier]. And that [nomod] is also a valid argument. Also you can go [mod:alt, shift] instead of typing it twice. |

| This is my latest attempt at this utilizing all 5 toons Wigglespank=Ctrl+Shift+Alt Wiglettea=Ctrl Wigletteb=Alt Wiglettec=Alt+Shift Wigletted=Alt+Ctrl I decided to take Shift out of it so I can use that modifier for other things down the road.Below is what I have currently that works. I am going to attempt to shorten it until it breaks. [modifier] to [mod] and so on. If there is a silver lining in all these attempts i have made, it is that I feel like I understand FTL better now then I did a week ago. Code: /target [modifier:ctrl, modifier:shift, modifier:alt, target=Wigglespank][modifier:ctrl, modifier:alt, target=Wigletted][modifier:shift, modifier:alt, target=Wiglettec][modifier:ctrl, target=Wiglettea][modifier:alt, target=Wigletteb] /follow /targetlasttarget |

| IS Boxer utilizes three FTL keys, which are called for FTL functions. a) FTL Assist Me b) FTL Target Me c) FTL Follow Me So rather then putting the [mod:ctrl,shift,@Wigglespank] into all the macros... A mapped key references one of the three FTL mapped keys, and then does whatever. Not sure if you can work that into your FTL system or not. Something like, /Click (FTL Macro) to determine who to assist. Then do whatever. The main benefits being: a) Don't need to mess with any FTL crap in your actual spells or sequences. b) Are free to use any combination of modifiers with your actual spells or castsequences. |

| I've not yet delved into click/ functions yet, but am having another issue I have yet to work out. In FTL method, is there a way to get my slaves to interact with a npc, like a vendor or quest giver? Or at the very least target it so I can use a click to interact button. I've tried the following Code: /target [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,mod:alt,@Wigglespank][mod:ctrl,mod:alt,@Wigletted][mod:shift,mod:alt,@Wiglettec][mod:ctrl,@Wiglettea][mod:alt,@Wigletteb] /assist Code: /assist [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,mod:alt,@Wigglespank][mod:ctrl,mod:alt,@Wigletted][mod:shift,mod:alt,@Wiglettec][mod:ctrl,@Wiglettea][mod:alt,@Wigletteb] /assist |

| Two possibilities: 1) Make sure you don't have anything bound to a modified version of whatever your assist key is. That's usually what screws people up as WoW then eats the key-press before it gets to your macro and so none of the conditionals fire. 2) You might like to try using Jamba, an addon that provides numerous multi-boxing support functions including the possibility of auto-building FTL macros. Once you get the first macro functional, IWT will then let you have your slaves interact with the target. Quote:

You do NOT need to have "Shift + Divide" on the broadcast list.

Doesn't the Numpad eat Shift modifiers? It does for me, making shift modifiers useless on the pad. If there's a way to use Shift with the Numpad please clue me in. I also noticed [0] also doesn't work with all modifiers. I forget which combo, but since I was having problems with the Numpad I wanted to use the following to give an equivalent layout that suits my needs: 0 - = [ ] \ L ; ' , . / Only the 0 didn't work so I use 9, and I swapped Home for L since I'm sticking with that as the quest log. ![]() But again, is there a way to use Shift with the Numpad? | |

| 0-9 on the number pad ignore certain modifiers, but that's irrelevant because the modifiers aren't on those keys. The arithmetic operator keys (+, -, /, *) do accept all modifiers; that's why I use them
