The purpose of FTL is so you don't need an assist button.

You can click your existing spells from any window, and the system will tell the other toons to automatically assist the toon from which the original click came from.

I don't have PB, so am probably not the best person to assist you in this endeavor.

It depends. Either you have a dedicated "/assist focus" macro or you put that into each of your DPS buttons as macros. I find the former to be easier toy around with but the former simplifies its practical use in combat.

Lets say you want to cast lightning bolt, for example.

You would broadcast a keybind that has this macro
Code:
/assist focus
And then you hit the button your broadcasting to cast lightning bolt.

Or

You would broadcast a keybind that has this macro
Code:
/assist focus
/cast Lightning Bolt
In the first example you can just swap out spell where the lightning bolt spell is and all is fine. In the second, you have to rewrite the macro to the new spell you want to use.

In the first example you have to hit the assist button and the spell button to cast. In the second, you just have to hit the spell button.

If you do either of those, you will succeed in having your slaves assist the master, and cast at the masters target.

However, you will not have done an FTL set up.

Specifically FTL does not rely on any of these:

Focus - It should run fine, without a focus set.
Target - It should run fine, without the slaves ever targeting anything.
Leader - It should not matter who the leader of the group is.

All you need is for the toon in the active window to target something.
Press a key, like "1", and have all the others cast their ability (also on 1) at the leaders target.

Ah I was thinking of a different setup. Theres no assist macro. The keyremapping is used to determine who is the leader.

i'm using

Code:
If "Game 1" selected, transform "1" into "Alt + Shift + Home" on "Game 2".
If "Game 1" selected, transform "1" into "Alt + Shift + Home" on "Game 3".
If "Game 1" selected, transform "1" into "Alt + Shift + Home" on "Game 4".
If "Game 1" selected, transform "1" into "Alt + Shift + Home" on "Game 5".
i have this on the button, mapped in-game, "Home" key on my other guys
Code:
/target
[mod:shift,mod:alt,target=Seana]
/cast Lightning Bolt
i am pushing "1" but nothing is happening with the rest of my guys. maybe i just need to restart everything, but this should work as i have it, correct?

I would recommend to try using "normal" keys such as non-numpad, 0-9 and A-Z keys for the first experiments with FTL. There can be some special magic with some of the other keys.

Also, the /target and the [...] must be on the same line. It appears as if on two lines in your example.

I figured out how to get the assist to work with FTL setup.

Code:
/assist [mod:shift,mod:alt,target=Seana]
/cast Lightning Bolt
