| I’ve been leveling a couple 5 packs of RAF accounts from 1-60 lately using pwnboxer. Great software and it’s made WoW fun again for me. :-) I have noticed that some classes are much more inclined to effective DPS via two-button macro’s than others and I’m curious if I’m doing something wrong. My first 5 man team was prot pally, elem shamies x 2, frost mage, and holy priest. In that group, the pally consistently out DPS’ed everyone with the mage as a close second. The shamies were usually 1 / 2 dps of the pally… which I was very surprised about considering the general amount of love given to shamies from multiboxing communities. My second 5 man team was prot pally, fury warior, combat rogue, hunter, holy priest. The pally still out dps’ed everyone with the hunter and rogue battling for second (still about 10% lower dps than pally though). The fury warrior once again was about 1 / 2 the dps of my pally. So… long story not too short… Is there a trick to 2-button-macro’ing shamies and fury warriors? Can you spam your macro’s too much? I’m starting my third 5 man group leveling from 1-60 now as I’m really having a hard time justifying leveling either of my existing teams to 85 considering the apparent gimpishness of the shamies and fury warior. Again though, I’m more than willing to accept that I’m probably doing something wrong here and just looking for input. PS… the ‘team awesome’ thread stickied at the top has some great two button macros (which I am using extensively). Is there an exhaustive list of these by class/spec floating around anyplace? That would be quite handy. |

| Mercurio has a sticky on the other site. Ebony and I posted a lot of those here, in one of the Cataclysm macro threads. The two button set up can be adopted to any class, with fairly good success. You want to alternate mashing two macros, and to mash them quickly. The first are abilities that cannot lock up, and are available whenever. Or possibly a few with recast delays, but spaced such that it is impossible for them to lock up. The second are proc abilities, that won't always be ready or available. But by spamming both macros, you get procs as often as they proc. The easiest is using a software which will alternate (steps in isboxer, not sure what HKN calls this) outputs, while you spam the single key. You can duplicate this with the default wow interface too, by using /changeactionbar commands, and having macro 1 on bar 1 and macro 2 on bar 2, but on the same hotkey. |
