Bartender Settings

I recently just downloaded bartender and spent about 1 hour setting up all my bars and their settings and did a clean log out. I want to duplicate these settings across all my chars however.. i dont feel like manually doing it. does anyone know of a good method or trick to accomplishing this?

I actually went into WTF>Account>!@#$#@$!@>SavedVariables
and modified the Bartender4.lua on each of my accounts by first changing the profile i prefer and overriding the default with the same settings and then doing a quick "replace all", changing the name of the character from that account to the name of the character i want to duplicate it to on another account and do a save as and place it into that account's SavedVariables folder.

The pain in this was figuring it out and even more so was that experience bar, reputation bar, hotbars, pet bar, bag bar and the main bar ALL have their own profiles so i had to override the default settings for all those individually.

I really hope someone else knows a better way cuz it'll be a PITA to explain this to anyone else who has this issue...

if anyone wants a more detailed explanation as to what i copied and pasted and how i did a replace all or etc. or just want a full tut, lemme know.

You -SHOULD- be able to just save the profile (the overall one, not the separate ones) as a name you know, and then load the lua file onto the other characters SavedVariables folder

Once you do that, you could load said profile


I do this with Dominoes very quickly. I remember doing it with Bongos and Bartender prior

think i tried that as a test with one account and it didn't load correctly.. but maybe i screwed something up. but the servers are down, no way for me to test T_T.

but that was the first thing i tried.

Since you are the OP of this thread, u are subscribed to it.
You can turn this behaviour off in your settings i believe, or remove it from your subscriptions

That should do the trick

Now i think of it, yes, the reply-spam i remove is mostly in 5 star threads, last few were for sure.
