Default assisting problem

I'm playing 5 druids..
I tried my hand at ragefire today, it goes very easy so far at level 13..however i can't get /assist going good.

Currently i have them just /assisting me. however if i die, they are dumb and have to manually control them.

How can i get this working right, /assist main is fine for solo mobs, but BaF its a no go. lol

Maybe I'm just having a huge brain-fart.... BaF?

Well you have a couple options. First, you can still target mobs with a dead tank and /assist will continue to work just fine. Second, you can set up your team for some FTL action. What I do is, I have a key that is specific for /assist. Thats all it does. It also eliminates me having to do /assist into every key i have set up.

BaF = Bring a friend. When mobs are linked.

It won't allow me to target anything when dead in game. /shrug.

You could switch to a focus based system.
Or a target based system.

When you're on a given toon, you are everyone's focus.
Or everyone has you targeted.

Then they cast like this:
/cast [target=focustarget] Spell

Or like this:
/cast [target=targettarget] Spell

It doesn't matter who you are on, the others assist this toon.

For a focus approach, every toon will have a PiP hotkey to switch who the active toon is.
Place a wow macro on this keybind for every toon to make the new focused window toon their wow focus too.
And repeat for each toon on your team.

If your PiP hotkeys were Control F1 through Control F5.
You'd have a macro /Focus [Target=ToonA] on the Control F1 keybind for every toon.
Similarly on the Control F2 keybind have, /Focus [Target=ToonB] for every toon.

Then you use /Follow [Target=Focus] for following.

If you are using Target based, do a forum search for "The No Focus Manifesto". Or search for posts started by Zzyzzx.
