Aion doesn't really allow multiboxers so this wouldn't really be applicable. The NCSoft company is known to ban people for doing this.

Yup, NCSoft really doesn't look too kindly on multiboxers. Plus, you can only have two instances of the game running at once. Not a good game to multibox.

Not to mention... Gameguard... Gasp! dun dun DUNNNNNNN

Question Re: Aion Guide!

Is this new with NCSoft? Maybe specific to Aion?

I had lunch with some friends and a fella at the table, an NCSoft rep, was talking about he and his team being aggressive if someone's slow to respond, but he was talking about Aion. A Blizzard rep sitting at the same table acknowledged that they're MUCH more aggressive in investigating MBers for possible bots, but have repeatedly stated that MBers, while not supported, are not prohibited by the EULAs of either company.

I've done hardware multiboxing in CoH (5-6 accts) for a number of years without incident and have had many encounters with GMs in that game. I'm stepping back into CoH and looking for solutions akin to the great experience I've had with PwnBoxer, but you've got me wondering if I've been out of the world for too long...

The main issue is NCSoft does not allow more than two game clients running at once. You would need to buy multiple computers to get 5-6 characters in the game (can't remember the group size in Aion). You would then need to find some way to link the computers together to send keystrokes. Which brings us to the next problem: Gameguard

From what I saw on a few posts on the other site, Gameguard flags multiboxing and other programs such as Input Director and Synergy. So the only way to multibox Aion from what I see is to run multiple computers with one character per computer.

Based on previous occurrences I've seen with Aion, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. (ban happy, GameGuard, ect.)

Wait wait... so you were having lunch with a NCSoft rep and a Blizzard rep just happened to be next to you?
