I just bought Pwnboxer yesterday, installed it, and was able to successfully start World of Warcraft with it. Since that initial run, I have had nothing but problems. I am only trying to run two instances of WoW for RAF. (I'm not really a gamer, so save the jokes about my setup until after I get everything working.) My Configuration Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3 2 monitors (1920x1080 and 1024x768), but they run off two different cards (512MB and 128MB). The smaller monitor I use pretty much for a browser window, not gaming. I'm running as an administrator. (I also tried creating a new admin and running as that new admin, as well as doing "run-as" the original administrator). When I startup Pwnboxer, it does not allow me to change the number of games. (The box is disabled). If I attempt to move on of the screens to monitor 2, the whole Pwnboxer window goes blank. (All that remains is a small arrow in the middle, which if you click it, or anywhere in the window, it keeps adding to the number of games, with no way to reduce it). Finally, I'm able to at least set the paths to WoW for two games and run it with all the default configs. It loads two instances of WoW, but each in an individual window, not side by side as indicated in Pwnboxer. No matter what changes I make to WoW, it still loads two individual windows. After mucking around with this for more than six hours already with no progress, I'm seriously starting to regret buying it. Considering it works for so many other people with so many different systems, the problem might be on my end. Help me out here... Is there something I'm doing wrong or overlooking? Why doesn't the instances of WoW, load side-by-side as in Tim's video? Why does the interface go blank when I try to make changes? Why does it not allow me to change the number of games?

Not really sure, on that. Hopefully someone who uses PB will stop by shortly, so you can enjoy your dual boxing.

Well one thing I will ask is are you running each window from a seperate directory for wow? i.e Window 1 is at c:\World of warcraft and Window 2 is at d:\World of Warcraft. as for the other issues your having did you make sure to run the vcredist_x86.exe? also make sure your .net is up to date running atleast version 3.5 Last edited by madmattco; 02-27-2011 at 09:59 PM.

Did you get this issue resolved? Somebody emailed me with an Windows XP OS and I pointed them to the specific version of Pwnboxer which resolved their problems. Not sure if this was you or not.

Those problems are resolved. Thank you. I still cannot actually control two characters with one set of keys though. However I don't believe this is related to the original problems I had. I watched that video to setup your first multiboxing team at least a half dozen times. For the life of me, I cannot get any keys to broadcast. I don't even get the Pwnboxer Panel. Extras > Enable Pwnboxer Panel is check, plus I defined a toggle keystroke but it still does not show up. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm still trying various changes to see if I get anything.

You'll generally run one toon, with the others on follow. Then have mostly assisting, in one form or another, of the main with the followers. Some keys will be their own actions only, but that is the exception. Also, you can go IWT/CTM for somewhat independent action, but that is via hotkey... not actively running two toons manually in different directions with the same level of control as operating only one character.

I got the focus, follow and assist macros to work (just the basic macro) on the alt, but I still have to manually attack with both. I have identical spells on both main and alt. I have the three macros bound to Num1, Num2 and Num3. I have three spells bound to Num4, Num5 and Num6. On my main, I have those same spells bound to Num4, Num5 and Num6. I can hit Num1, 2 and 3 on the alt and it will follow the main and target the main's target. That's where I'm lost. I'm thinking if I hit Num4 on the main, that should broadcast Num4 on the alt and they should both attack together.. When I hit Num4 on the main, only the main attacks and the alt just stands there. Maybe I should just stick to alt-tabbing between screens because I'm clearly not ready for multiboxing huh..

You would most likely want to have the attack on the same keybinds for all of the characters. So you can push "1" or "Numpad 1", and that has all of the characters do their: /cast [@focustarget] Whatever. So one push of the key, has every one of your toons doing their offensive spells. It sounds like you don't have Num4 set as a broadcast key. There is a list in Pwnboxer of the keys that are broadcast; not sure where it is exactly, since I don't use PB as my software multiplexer. Once you have the key added to your broadcast list, it will work as you want it to. Chances are 1, 2, 3 etc, are already on the broadcast list. But not Num1, Num2, Num3 etc.

Actually Ualaa its funny you mention... 1,2,3, etc. aren't in the list by default, but I believe Num1, etc. are. The reason I did this is because I personally never used the 1,2,3, etc. keys. However, it takes a couple seconds to modify the list to include whatever you want anyway. To the OP: Sounds like you have everything working in PB, you just need to configure the game. Your best bet is to go into PB, make sure the key you want is in there (start with basics, eg. 1, 2, 3, num1, num2, etc). Then make sure your WoW games have those keybinds. I personally use Bartender4 since it is super easy to set up + keybind. So start out with easy things, set a keybind to do something like "/s blah blah num1" and then test it out. Then replace that with a spell or whatever.
