I'm no expert at all on this, but i have heared that the easiest way is to get 3 keyboards hooked up to 1 reciever (wireless that is).

I believe you can link them with pwnboxer if thats the software you're using. Perhaps tim can implement that into the next pwnboxer version if its not already. I know with the current version you can link 2 pc's though i'm not sure about licensing since pwnboxer is bound to one computer only.

Check out Synergy.

Pwnboxer is built to make a single computer super efficient in running multiple games, which is the better way vs using multiple computers.

I thought I saw something about pwnboxer supporting up to 10 games (of course more can be done) across two computers somewhere?

I use Octopus 1.3.2 for multiboxing across different computers as it's free. However, Octopus is no longer being updated. If Pwnboxer supported multiple computers, I'd probably use it but that's not available (at least not yet).

I've been trying to find the Visual Studio source code for 1.3.2 but not found it yet. I do have the source code for 1.2.6 if anyone needs it. The writer had said that anyone can modify it. Given that the writer is not updating it any longer, I guess someone else can take it on and continue to improve it. The last I'd heard from the original writer was that he was giving up altogether including no longer playing WoW.

Hey Prepared.

Do you REALLY want to do 40 guys at once? Like REALLY? If so, maybe I could spend some time making changes to Pwnboxer to support 40 game windows?

About 1.5 years ago or so, I did this and reached 70. Pwnboxer internally supports 256 clients, but I've found that even mega beast machines don't go that high. The internal code supports that, but the GUI I've purposefully limited to 10 just to make PB easy to use. Though I could do something special for you, just for the hell of it, if I had time

Yes, I'd use Pwnboxer if it could handle 40 game windows. But my new system would have to be able to support 40 game windows running of WoW. How about this weekend when I get the new system, I'll try loading all 40 copies of the game to see if it will function first. The real test is whether or not I can get them all running in Alterac Valley around 40 other players. If that works, I'd use Pwnboxer instead if it can be made to support 40 game windows. I might even make another video of that battle. :-)
So it all depends if my new system can handle 40 accounts in a battleground, then I can use Pwnboxer. Otherwise, I'll have to stay with a multi-computer configuration with other software.

By the way, I'm planning to make a better version of the battle in AV that I won. Many viewers don't believe I actually won the battle. Plus I really need to edit out the no-action parts of the existing video. I'm thinking about creating a new video that shows the key parts, like the start where I bring up the player listing. Then where I wipe part of them in front of Galv's building, then where I killed Balinda, then some where I recalled and wiped them at the Horde base. Then the key parts where they rushed all 40 of them into Drek and I wiped them a few times. Then the Ivus piece and finally the game ending.

Cheers!

Pwnboxer does have a lot of built-in things that make the games run considerbly more efficient. Right now it appears that a normal WoW uses about 1/4 the resources with PB, which is huge, HUGE if running 40.

Yea give it a try. Make sure to make each window be tiny small

With 40 on the same computer, I was planning to use 4 - 27 inch screens and a 22 inch screen. The 27 inch screens would have 3 x 3 each for 9 per screen x 4 for 36 and the 22 inch screen would have 2 x 2 for another 4 giving 40 windows total. I've got two nVidia GTX 590's and each one allows three monitors as output. I just have to use an HDMI connection for one of the monitors and it should work.
