One issue you will run into Prepared is the limitations of DirectX. DirectX has issues with "handlers" in so many instances of DirectX being run at the same time. I crashed the internal windows DirectX "core" at 72 instances of WoW about 1.5 years ago, and even before the crash, there was some severe threading lag.

Anyway, good luck, definitely interested in how it goes. The reason is because I personally want to see if I can get 100 WoWs running on 1 computer just for ****s and giggles. 100 trial accounts all multiboxed would be hella fun!

Lol 100 instances of wow... that's 10 battle.net accounts all filled to the brim

Would be hilarious to see though... I'd love to see 100 gnomes or something... mages with ice lance... shamans with shocks... locks or priests with dots... hunters.... COULD YOU IMAGINE THE ARROWS

Please for the love of god give that a go... just for poos 'n' giggles. I might try it with 40 or something... just for lulz :P

I might make those accounts now

I ended up using 4 computers with 13 on the most powerful computer and 9 on each of the other 3 computers. With the multiple computer set up, I'm able to handle 40 accounts in battlegrounds with ease. When I had 27 accounts on the most powerful computer it would give some lag in some battleground areas with 40 other players around so I had to back it off. It might be because I'm using Octopus 1.3.8 with different computers but the balance of having four computers with 9+ on each computer works great. Of course I had all of the graphics options turned to the lowest setting for all of the wow instances.

Will be gearing up in PvP gear through rated battlegrounds this season and computer power is needed in combat with that many accounts.

I think it would be a blast to build the ultimate gaming rig, something like 4x CPUs, 48G ram, RAID10 of 12 SSDs, and 4 of the highest end video cards. God, the heat it would generate...

But a system like that could probably run 200 WoWs smoothly.
