Default Doing your own Arenas?

I have never done any arena's before, so I was wondering,

for boxers we have a few accounts, is it possible to have 2 toons against another 2 toons?

To be honest I am not a fan of PvP. But I do PvP for the gear.

You could run 2's, but you don't really have the blowing up power that boxing brings with only two accounts.

Quite a few do run 3's, either playing three toons or playing two and having a friend play the third.

The majority of boxers who do arena, do 5's... either playing all five, or playing four with a friend playing the fifth.

Pretty much, eight wins or so will cap you each week.
But if you get a higher rating, your weekly cap goes up.

It can be rather frustrating...
But every match you play, adjusts your rating.
And no matter how much you stink (which isn't your fault necessarily, when you start later in an arena season and almost everyone has much better gearing), your rating adjusts... which means, eventually you play people who are as good/bad as you.
Well, subject to those teams queuing of course; if you queue on Monday before the server reset, or Tuesday after the reset, or on a Friday evening/Weekend afternoon... more people are also queuing and you get teams closer to your rating.

If you're gearing up...

I would run AV, almost exclusively...
Until you have close to full honor gearing.

You would prioritize:
a) the two-minute pvp trinket that removes 'loss of control' effects
b) two pieces of your five piece class set, for the resilience bonus.
c) four pieces of your five piece class set.

Make one of the four pieces be your Gloves, if the added bonus helps your class at all.
Get the Helm as one of the four also, because of the Meta gem.
After that, pick up pieces with gem slots that will activate your Meta.

It's worthwhile enchanting your gear with something.
And to gem your gear too; gem the correct colors, if the socket bonus is resilience or whatever stat your class uses the most.
If the socket bonus is something else, ignore that and gem either resilience or your class stat.

You can run Arena 2's, playing one toon at a time.
Lots of people want partners for points, especially on Monday just before reset.

If need be, run some daily quests for gold, then offer gold for each victory... there are people very willing to carry new people... gold for them, and conquest points for you.

Thanks Ualaa for the advice. I had not really been actively looking into 2s, 3s, 5s. Currently I am still focusing on leveling and running the Honor dailies to try to get the ruthless gears.

I am currently also looking into other areas which I am updating in my main thread.
