| Senior Member | I was looking for a web site where I could map out the route I use when I run. After a quick Google™ search, I found this. http://www.walkjogrun.net/ You can define a start point and the just start adding clicks on the map to create a custom route. I tried using Google Maps™ own custom route defining behavior, but it's too smart and wants to only give me routes that follow major roads (ie. no greenway paths or cutting through small dirt trails). Pretty slick stuff. You can save your routes as well. If you aren't logged in, all routes are public. Logging in lets you create private routes. If anyone has seen anything similar, throw up a link. I'd love to check out some other similar sites. |

I picked a random one to watch and he was envious of the French/Spanish. If you can believe what he says, the French/Spanish have 1% of their trails as restricted and the rest unrestricted. Definitely more freedom than here in North Carolina, but as long as you know which sites to frequent and who to talk to, you can always find a decent place to ride. | |
