Yeah, was not aware of that, but having read the article.. the members of that church should all be deported to somewhere like Iraq, where the soldier in question died fighting for the freedom, which they are essentially spitting upon.

Just a note, but if the family was awarded $7.9 million dollars from the church, how do they say they can't pay $16,000 in costs of the other party?

Of course they shouldn't pay those costs, but I'm curious where the math is failing there?

Westboro in 2008 appealed the case to the 4th District, which reversed the judgments a year later, siding with the church's claims that its First Amendment rights had been violated.

They didn't get to keep the $8m

In 2007 they won that money but it was overturned many times since then... this is what I don't get.... "filing appeals"... what about hey.... case has been tried, you lost.... get over it.... idk... the judicial system is a joke sometimes.
