Default [PSA] Playstation Network Breach

Just in case you haven't been on the internet looking at news the past few days, let me bring you up to speed.

Between April 17th and 19th, there was an unauthorized intrusion into the Playstation Network. Information was obtained on Sony customers. Information obtained includes...
  • Name
  • Address
  • City, State, Zip
  • Country
  • Birth Date
  • E-mail Address
  • PSN Login and Password

While Sony is not sure, if you made ANY purchases at all, the thief might, and let me reiterate, MIGHT have your credit card # and expiration date, but NOT your security code.

If you use the same password for your PSN account as you do for everything else (shame on you!) change ALL OF THOSE PASSWORDS IMMEDIATELY to be safe.

I had a PSN account just to have in case I bought a PS3 in the future. Let's just say I will not be buying any more consoles made by Sony (including the PS3). They completely lost my trust as a customer.

Edit 1:

I know keeping track of passwords for all of your logins is tough, so let me give you a great program that could help you. It's called Keepass (http://keepass.info/). It uses SHA-256 encryption to ensure your passwords are safe. Once you have all your logins stored, you can copy your password to the clipboard, which can be wiped after a certain time (12 seconds or your choice). Feel free to take a look if you want.

Cheers!

Interestingly enough, PSN had all their data stolen by another entity yesterday. So not only does somebody have all your info, now TWO people have it (not to mention it is probably being sold and passed around the intronets).

I believe the first breach was Sony. The second most recent one was Sony Online Entertainment, the online arm of Sony.

100 million+ personal details leaked. WTG Sony XD
