Muffin! PHP to tell if a JTV or UStream stream is live?

Hey Muffin,

I was wondering if you could figure something out for me. I'm trying to figure a way to, in PHP, tell whether or not a stream is live from Justin.tv as well as Ustream.tv.

Any chance you could finger this one out?

Awesome!

Now make it able to be ran via a function call, so I can include a function into my PHP site, something like:


$multiboxingonline = CheckJTV('http://justin.tv/multiboxing');

and the function would return a 1 for online, 0 for offline.

Also, CheckUstream() for ustream.

Cooliosis?

This will feed into something new and quick and dirty I'm building

Then hook a bro up with some codez!

BTW - I'm reinstalling MSN finally this weekend. Ugg. Want to be my 2v2 long term SC2 partner, whereas me and you dominate the SC2 field, talk on vent, come up with strats, etc?

Having trouble seeing a difference in the HTML of an offline/online utream stream that I can base that part of this on... notice anything?

To be honest I can't even figure out how to stream to Ustream. I keep on getting an error myself. But isn't there a ticker saying if the channel is live? It also says "Last broadcast was XXX ago". Could that be used to see if it is live?

Pretty sure the last broadcast thing doesnt update till the broadcast ends but not sure...i still need to fiddle with ustream
