| Senior Member | (If you dont want to read the QQ plz drop to the bottom and see if you can help with my question :P) Hate to Love, Love to hate... so true. In a running joke that is my Logitech Chronicles... today I call up their support to find out.. "hey where is my replacement G7...and Ghostcrawler promised me a pony!". But really if I didn't joke about this I'd go insane with aggravation. As some may remember from the stream(late december), in the midst of playing my hunters the issue came up that the mouse would lose signal with the receiver. Thus, this would cause my hunters to autorun into mobs or not to be able to attack because the signal was intermittent. I called up Logitech and ordered a replacement receiver as the mouse showed no issues (power issues)and it appeared that no matter what port I placed the receiver it had the same issue. So the receiver showed up liek 12 days later to my very 1st angst with this company. (overnight my ass) I unpackaged the new receiver and then spent the next 12-18hours trying to do their stupid synchronization sequence to no avail. To the phones I went and they decided I am a dumbass and went through the whole "idiot's guide" with me which took another 45mins because the guy knew I was pissed off and kept putting me on hold. Well after 45mins, he finally says hey send us the mouse and we will send you a replacement FREE!!... well not free, if I were to return the mouse for a replacement, I was not allowed to return the receiver or the extra battery that I purchased as well. ($60 mouse vs $18 return then having to buy a new mouse... well I may be slow at times, but this seemed to be a sweet deal.) So I sent out my mouse on January 14, the received on January 19. I received an e-mail on the 29th (10 days after the fact) that they received the item and will be processing the G7 replacement immediately. Today, yes 8 days later and no product has been shipped. So I decide you know what I need to do? Yes torture myself by calling their online support team... OH JOY! Well apparently someone at the warehouse processed the shipment wrong or missed the order... well that is what the 1st tech told me... then they xferred me... Tech2: "Hello sir, I regret to inform you that we do not manufacture the G7 Wireless Laser Mouse anymore." (After a really long foul mouthed response and yelling) Me: "So what am I to do without a mouse that you guys told me that you would replace with the exact item, as I enjoyed using the G7, for me it is the perfect mouse, comfortable grip and motion." "How the hell do you stop making an item and not tell your tech people?" "What about the addition battery that I purchased for the G7, that now is useless since you no longer have the mouse?" Tech2: "I understand your frustration sir, what I want to do is make you happy." Me: (interrupting ) What you can do to make me happy is get me a G7 Wireless mouse that I was ensured that I would have in a few days... do you understand that I am stuck without a mouse and I have things to do via my computer?" (a white lie, I am using a ****ty mouse tho) Tech2: "Well sir, I cannot get you what I do not have, however I have been authorized to give you a replacement Logitech Performance Mouse MX . Me: I don't want that, I want a G7, I mean how do I know that I am going to liek the mouse, I dont want to be stuck with a product I cant or dont liek using. Tech2: I will make a note that if you do not liek the item you can return it for one of our other mice in the same price bracket. Me: Well how long will this take to get to me, as I said I am without a farking mouse. Tech2: I will do next day shipping, however processing will take 2-3 days, I will try to call and get it pushed through today. Me: Grumble Grumble fine, if this thing doesnt work I am not going to be very happy, good day and thank you for your time. /hangup. (Ok if you survived that rant/transcript, now for the question) What do you all think of the Logitech Performance Mouse MX. I mean I really lieked my G7 it was the quintessential mouse imho. Any thots, comments, questions, plz do so. |

| Senior Member | Robert, I just checked the inventory on the Performance Mouse MX and it is in back order. I have been assured by the staff here that we will have 5000 in inventory by the end of the week. That puts your delivery at the first part of the following week. I apologize for this and assure you that we will get your mouse shipped as soon as possible. Richard Logitech Customer Care OMFG will this nightmare EVER END! |

| I've got the G5, which is a corded mouse. Assuming the G7 was the wireless version at the time of my purchase (not sure, but think so), then aside from being a corded mouse, the G5 is the same mouse. I've found for gaming, at least in the past, corded options offered better response times. Having gone with the G5 instead of the wireless option, cannot comment on the performance between the two, but I'm quite happy with my G5. Logitech as a company, has been good to me over the years. Granted, I've not had to go through their RMA department for anything. But I have, and am quite happy with, my G5 mouse, my G15 (original) keyboard, and my Z5500 speaker system. |
