| I want to know what everyone on the site does for a living. Currently I am blueprinting a building and taking down model numbers for everything in that building. (sons of engineers lead very tiring lives)

| I'll be starting my seasonal summer work (mid June through mid September), if you can call it that, in just under two weeks... A bit of work in the mornings, as I'm the 'reefer' manager supervising how much of each fruit type each location gets. Then a nice drive out to whichever location I have for the day (we rotate), putting a few 2FT x2FT A-Frame signs out along the way. Set up tables and a tent, and fill baskets with fruit. Mostly sorting over-ripe stuff into waste, as our product is incredibly fresh, far superior to the grocery stores, which is pretty much the only other option for fruit in Calgary. Then upsell fruit to anyone who stops by, chat with people, sample my product, read, etc... Sweet corn (later in the season) is a lot more work, but then you make twice as much in the same hours per day. Evenings is similar to the mornings. Count what came back for each person, including weighing their partials and waste. Fill in a sheet for them: Start, Finish, Waste, Case Sales, and get a count on what came back overall. Overall, very fun and a decent workout (I always lose 15-20 lbs, over the summer) and enough cash I can take the rest of the year off... |

| Senior Member | I am a Software Developer for the Psychology Dept at the University of Oklahoma, specifically the Center for the Study of the Human Operator Experience (C-SHOP). We work on software that in general terms using a variety of computerized tests measures a person's mental state. There are a number of scores on a per test basis. These are used to help diagnose TBIs (traumatic brain injuries) by either comparing to a previous test the person took before an incident or by comparing them to known baselines from thousands of tests. It is used by everything from local HS football teams to the US Military. A version of it should even be going up on the International Space Station before long!
