| OMG I knew this was going to spark some crazy end of the world bull **it talk from 2012'ers or Armageddon from religious fanatics >.< Yes the way we treat our planet is having an effect, I've never believed in genetic modified food, thats why I eat organic. My cat lived to be 22 years old, because we fed him organic chicken, and real healthy catfood. If it wasn't good enough for us to eat, we never fed it to him. Eventually my cat died of old age, a sad thing to watch, as I should have put him down to save him the pain, however due to his healthy lifestyle, he even overcame the Iams food scare that killed alot of cats. They put whole grains into pet food.... WHOLE GRAINS!!! Pets don't eat grain! They eat live animals, rats, bugs, squirrels, and anything thats small, has a furry nose, and squeeks. Its natural. Either we change how we're damaging our planet, or this planet's going to give us what for. Ok, one thing I find interresting is that the report the fish came floating to shore, is 3 days before the Quake in Japan. Could the be the result of some EM fallout before the quake? Ok maybe not, but it was 3 days before the quake. Still the 2012 Theory is way far fetched wrong. Last edited by Drarkan; 04-12-2011 at 12:51 PM. |

| Ok uppon further discussion a friend brought to light the fact that before an earthquake hits, the plates which are stressing together will generate electromagnetic charges due to the rock becoming magnetized. Now we know very little about our earth thus far, despite the fact we have equipment that puts to the test, theories of what we think to be true, to better understand our reality, but the fact that we dont' know everything, we will come to crazy conclusions to give us an answer, rather than ask more questions "why". Now those charges will cause events on our planets, like the mass death toll of the fish in LA. This planet has been undergoing changes since its creation billions of years ago, which will cause disaster like events, and has and will cause mass death to species, and even extinction. I know that yes, we are having to control our industrialization of our modern life now, but not all things bad are caused by us. I strongly believe that the fish in LA were a pre-event to the disaster that struck Japan 3 days later. It is very likely that the crust that split open along its oceanic spreading ridge, that occurred just before the actual quake, which then released chemicals buried within the crust, which killed billions of species that live in the ocean. Now keep in mind, the pacific plates subducting under the Asian, and Philippine plate will cause spreading in the oceanic ridge, hundreds of miles out at sea, closer to the United States and South America. Event - When the Earth Speaks: Understanding Pre-Earthquake Signals - PARC, a Xerox company Is just one link I have found regarding some of the earth's signals. I strongly suggest that before anyone comes to any cataclysmic conclusion, just do some research. The planet has been around for a very long time. Natural events do happen that have nothing to do with "God being angry" or "The end times" |

| JunkScience.com | All the Junk That's Fit to Debunk is an interesting site. It does not purport our treatment of the environment being superb or anything like that. But it does look at actual science rather than the fear mongering that is taken as science by the vast majority of the population. The science suggests man could not speed up or slow down the natural geothermic energies which cause global warming and global cooling cycles. Historically, and currently, higher levels of carbon gasses in the sky follow a warming trend and do not precede it. Neither Suzuki nor Gore, despite numerous public challenges have taken them up on the offer to scientifically prove man is responsible for global warming, and the prize money for doing so regularly escalates. Meanwhile governments push things upon us like the Kyoto Accord... which will basically crush the economy of any developed nation that adopts it. Note - I am not saying we don't dump the equivalent of a half mile cube of plastics into the oceans each year. I am not saying it is ok to dump raw sewage into the oceans either or to clear cut the rain forests, and destroy thousands of unique plant and animal life which aside from destroying life which is gone forever -- might have the cure for some disease... We can definitely do far better environmentally than we are now. Last edited by Ualaa; 04-13-2011 at 03:07 PM. |
