Insulting Hunters...

So here's what happened... I watched a Dis. Priest own a rogue today and I whispered him "Dude nice!" and he QQed for whatever reason to the rogue that I was "putting the rogue down".

So out of no where the Rogue comes up to my 80 hunter, and says "Hey you Huntard, you suck gtfo". So tell me, why are hunters always being insulted? We're actually one of the top DPS contributors next to Warlocks. We're actually ABOVE rogues most of the time in DPS.

wow very touchy people in this game
hunters got a bad rep because it is a very easy class to play by just auto shotting and letting the pet keep aggro. then there is the weapon problem that everyone seems to make fun of, you know the "this is a hunter weapon" stuff. hunters would roll on weapons designed for tanks and warrior dps and ppl would get pissed and decided to think all hunters are idiots.

I do not hear much hunter QQ these days, its more about tanks and death knights now. But back in vanilla wow you could not go a day without seeing someone complain about a hunter(s) on forums and ingame.

They say hunters are easy to play, but in reality MM and Surv have gotten a bit harder to orientate at least in my opinion I mean I've done DK tank, Pally tank and Heals, Drood heals and tank, and Stun lock rogue doesn't seem like they were much harder but maybe it's me.

And the touchy part to which guy did you mean was touchy, the rogue or me? Because you know I'm not trying to be a drama bomb but it was like "What the heck I didn't even do anything?" know what I mean?

And awesome Madison freshman! =D I lived in Madtown for about 6 months.

well the huntard word appeared in vanilla wow before survial and other talent trees were viable. its just ppl cling to to it for some reason thinking hunters are easy to play. in reality you have to keep an eye on your pets health, party health, your health, and controlling your pet to attack certain mobs in instances while you use traps can make for an exciting and challenging time

and I was calling the priest and rogue you quoted as touchy. I hope you did not take it as an attack on you, I should of been more specific

Thanks for backin' me up man =] You must know by experience it seems easy to stand back and shoot but it can get rough if you don't know what you're doing.

yep I have experience my main was a 60 hunter back in the day in vanilla wow. doing strathlome was fun and challenging. rogue would sap 1 mob and I freeze trap the other and the tank picks up the two that were not crowd controlled (depending on how many mobs there was that aggo'ed). although it was frustrating when other ppl kept breaking freeze trap and then the tank has to get aggro.

But my main now is a human pally, but i rarely play him nowadays since I started boxing. Mostly because I play horde/alliance on two different servers and there is so many great boxing combos to try

Ahh, I remember the good ol' days when sap and freeze were necessary. Those days have changed. It'd be cool for like a week or weekend for blizz to lower all chars to 60 and make their gear 60 equivalent, make PVP back into Town raiding.

I know I dream in an unreachable level lol, but it'd be cool to do some Vanilla wow type stuff.
