| Hey guys, after a little bit of help/advice. I use DVDSmith movie backup to rip all my dvd's to hdd but i'm struggling to get a program that will let me use the ripped files in a playlist. Can anyone out there recommend software that would enable me to do this as it would make streaming to my other pc's much easier? ![]() Cheers!

| Does it not rip the discs to a video file?

| It rips them as DVD.vob files. Or is there another program that would rip the dvd straight to avi/mpeg/wmv files?

| i use AutoGK to rip from the DVD to AVI and its free, you can also set the file size u want, i usually set it to 700mb for a movie, can save it in Xvid or Divx format They have a tutorial on the official site if you need it, its easy to use.. I have windows 7 Ultimate (im sure all versions of windows7 can do it) or install the latest windows media player on all PCs and can access movies on those PCs via windows media player as long as they are in their playlists.. Also VideoLAN - VLC media player can stream too and can play many formats.. Last edited by Tai; 08-18-2010 at 08:40 PM. Reason: fix typo's |
