| I was recently looking at Diablo III stuff, mainly because of the commit to a year and get the game free stuff. Then thought, I have the CD-Keys for D2 and its expansion still... and that game rocked. Had to download a .DLL file, something called Sven's Wrapper and run the game in windowed mode (added -w, to the executable) to get it to run on Windows 7. The 800x600 window is absolutely tiny, on my 27" (1920x1080 resolution), and cannot be resized thanks to the Wrapper thing. Changing the screen resolution on that monitor, makes it fill most of the screen which looks better. Graphics are a lot worse than I remembered, but its still the same fun game. I started a Bow Amazon, and actually played for 15 hours straight... then looked at the clock and was very surprised to see an almost all-nighter. Guess I'm getting siked for D3 |

| Senior Member | by reading this post, I realized when after good good years i threw some games on my Commodore Amiga, I kept them in my closet for years and years (still own 500 and 1200) I dont think I ever laughed so hard, By playing few games i asked my self, how the hell i put so many HOURS playing games like that?......... I will never forget those days, ever. Broken joysticks, exchanging games with friends, good old days

| Yes, for both EGA and VGA. I had a Commodore 64 for a long time, and played a ton of late 70's and early 80's games on it. Loved: Jumpman, Loderunner, Mario Brothers and Archon in particular. |

| Senior Member | C= never forgotten. Yep my frist comp was atari 65xe with tape player, than C64 II. When i jumped from atari to commodore i was such a happy kid, better graphic, better games, music, etc and of course disk drive.

| My Amazon just hit 30th, but even with a weak Valkyrie... Diablo was too much. First point in the game where I'll need to grind a bit, either for better fire/lightning resistance gear or maybe a little higher level before I can tackle him. I beat the game, as a single player on the hardest difficulty back when it was new... with a Sorceress, then a Druid and finally an Assassin; never got past the mid 70's. Have not played any of the other original classes in D2, aside from the current (Amazon) and a Sorceress. I like the Valkyrie a lot, and it gains synergies from Decoy (more life) and many of the Passive/Magic skills. Planning on going Strafe and Cold Arrow/Freezing Arrow, although not sure if that is optimal or not. Will find out. |
