Default Check out this physics engine

Imagine the day we have dynamic raid environments where fights destroy the room differently each time.

Why would you ever want this the you will never make it with PuGs the raid will be trying to figure out how to knock down the wall and make a new entrance to the end of the instance.

seen that the other day on digg, its pretty sweet. but imagine a full game with that as its physics engine pluss everything else, maybe something that could make Tims pc actually do some work rather then sit idleing while running everything on high

I dont think the idea would be to knock down walls etc but debree is thrown about the room, a spell that misses could continue to hit a wall and leave blast marks and create a dust cloud, all new variables to think about, and PuGs suck anyways, no 1 listens. not to mention that a raid isnt about getting from the entrance to the exit, its about killing the bosses, i really dont play much wow now because its too easy, something like this could add much more thought process to a fight, as well as some sweet eye candy

I think technology needs to start making the move forward even with things like this, we seem to be almost at a stand still from how the way we expected technology to excell.

Tims PC can walk all over most games times 10. literally 25 if in wow's case and not even break a sweat
and with 32 core processors and what not being developed, for what use? when our current systems can handle the software we have

You might like RAGE then (id, TBA). When you are walking along a mountain, you might see Mountain Skin A, Mountain Skin B, Mountain Skin C, Mountain Skin A etc.

RAGE is totally different in the fact that pretty much everything is unique. This includes rocks as well.

On that note, having dynamic raids would put an interesting spin on end-game. It would be like Kara's theater event, where you don't know which event is chosen. Of course, unlike the theater event, it would be randomly generated each time the raid wipes to keep players on their toes.
