Default Borderlands

Does anyone have the non-Steam version of Borderlands because I bought retail and didn't know that they were different.

Also, does anyone know how to connect to the Gamespy servers so I can play OR a working Gameranger install for PC

AFAIK, you can still invite people to your game, even if they are on Steam. The only difference between the two is Steam has the overlay (and convenience of a friends list) and automatic updates, whereas you need to find updates to the retail version manually.

You should be able to invite people to your game with an IP address or something similar to how Minecraft multiplayer works.

If I am dead wrong on this, feel free to correct me and smash my puny head with a hammer

Well mario, I confirmed my original thought, and Steam players can indeed play with retail, because Steam uses Gamespy as well. Just post your GameSpy ID and i'll add you

Tunngle is VLAN.
