| I've had this happen to me before but thought it was just a game mechanics issue. However, this morning's experience leads me to believe there is a bug in pwnboxers' key mapping code. For several minutes earlier today, none of my key mapping sequences would work, although regular pass-through keys worked fine. It didn't matter which window I had as primary or what key sequence I used, nothing worked. It was only when I moved the mouse over each window and hit 'Esc' until the menu popped up and then cancelled that I was able to regain mapping control. Tim, I realise that an intermittent error like this will be exceptionally hard to track down but let me know what sort of information you might need to look for possible explanations.

| What sort of internet speed do you have? I ask because maybe we could do some sort of desktop viewing thing of your PC (such as using Skype or Teamviewer) so you could demonstrate the actual specifics of the bug? Realistically I've never been a key remapping user since I'm a die hard focus-based multiboxer. Everything in Pwnboxer I test quite a bit before release, however, the exception to this always was the key remapping since I'm not a user of it myself ![]() I'm out sick for probably a couple days, how about sometime Tuesday if you are up for it? |

| Senior Member | I think one of the points he was trying to make Tim was that the problem is not purposefully repeatable and extremely random. I HATE bugs like that... those are always the worst.

| Well the thing is, when you come down to it, nothing in software development is really random. If something is in fact broken then there should be a chain of events leading up to the cause. That is why if I can see it in action I can think to myself internally how PB is processing the actions leading up to the event where something is not working. |

| As I semi-stumbled on it again later yesterday - using mouse broadcasting to trigger wanding mobs, would then lock up key-mapping (but not regular key pass-through) until I mounted and un-mounted - I will do my best to see if I can come up with something of a reproducible scenario. It won't be for a while though as I'll be out of town & away from WoW for the next week. As for testing key-mapping generally, just try remapping Decimal to Up for all games (no FTL involved). Even that wasn't working when key-mapping got confused.
