| Hey, I would like to see an option to set aspect ratio for your windows in Pwnboxer. Big reason is mouse broadcast, if you have even slightly wrong aspect ratio on one of your windows, it clicks totally wrong. Tim, possible?

| I've thought about it, but you can size your aspects really easy if you turn on the grid and just line the boxes up. That is what I do and the clicking is pretty accurate |

If you are just dualboxing, it is left up to nothing but eyeballing or busting out a calc to make the smaller window the same ratio. It would help the OP if you explained in greater detail what you do. I am curious as well. Personally, I just do the math and setup my manual by entering the dimensions. I never use the "click/drag" method because it is always a few pixels off. That coupled with my 3x monitor setup causes parts of a window to extend beyond the bezel of the monitor they are intended to be on.

| I'm not sure what you mean Muffin, lining up the boxes helps in length AND width. All you have to do is turn on the grid + snapping, line up your boxes length and width, and you're done. Takes just a few seconds to do all your games. It will be perfectly accurate and not off by even a single pixel. That isn't to say being off by a few pixels matters anyway, cuz it wouldn't unless your mouse broadcasting needs to touch a flea on a rats head. |

If I have game 1 full size, and I want game to at 1/4 of the size of game one but still maintain the same ratio, how the heck is lining anything up with a game window much larger than what I want going to help anything? EDIT: Same Aspect Ration != Same Size

| Senior Member | I might also add I have had problems with being a few pixles off mattering A LOT when it comes to say clicking a button in WoW. (i.e. the Addons button)

| Senior Member | Show me how any amount of "lining things up" would allow window 2 to have the same ratio as window 1 but be 1/4 the size. (without having to be annoying and count like grid boxes or something)

| Super easy! It sort of is like when you were young and the teacher hands you a box with holes shaped like a square, circle, triangle, etc ![]() We will use your 1/4 small window example, and my single monitor example here. I turn on snap to grid and set the size to the smallest. Before we begin, it needs to be mentioned a basic mathematical principle stating that when you segment a non-square rectangle, the area of your segments do not have to equal the area of your non-square rectangle. What this means is this: If you ratio your small WoW windows to your main, there is a likelyhood your monitor will not be covered 100% by WoW windows. Okay so for the example: First, create 5 boxes of the same same height (as mentioned above), and line 4 of them up vertically on the right side of your monitor (how I have them in my broadcast). Second, take those same 5 boxes, line them up horizontally (left or right justified) to have the equal width. Thirdly, leave the uppermost box on the least outer edge in place, and vertically align your small game windows under it. Fourth, stretch box 1 to encompass the squared area from the justified top most small box, to the justified bottom most of the bottom game box. Congratulations, you now have a perfect aspect ratio group of windows! (these 4 steps take seconds to complete) |
