| I've been experiencing a rather strange issue with my main display I use for my lead wow client with pwnboxer. I'm mostly interested to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue before and if so what did you do to resolve it? I've had this problem happen in the past and it's mysteriously solved itself without my intervention but it hasn't gone away and has become a bit of a nuisance I'd love to resolve. The problem lies with my taskbar not "hiding" behind my 1st wow client.. The setup I generally prefer to use I have my main client fullscreen windowed on my left display and 4 clients on the right side with the windows taskbar -not- set to autohide. I'm sure many of you have used wow in fullscreen windowed mode and could hopefully relate. What I generally expect and often happens is when the game is launched the windows taskbar should go behind the game client without having to set pwnboxer to force the game client stick into the forground or set the option to auto hide the windows taskbar. However if I launch my client with pwnboxer on my main screen I occasionally have to set the taskbar preference to auto hide the taskbar to get the taskbar to dissapear which has one major disadvantage of the taskbar reappearing if your mouse wanders too far into the lower region of the screen. This can be extremely unfortunate of your locked in the middle of a boss encounter since it hides the game's action bar. I can only seem to reproduce this if i launch my main client with pwnboxer which is unusual. If i launch the game without pwnboxer the client will go to the foreground and hide the taskbar. I have been using SLI with my dual 480GTX nvidia gfx cards so i'm not sure if that's a possible contributing issue but that wouldn't explain why the foreground bug only happens when launching with pwnboxer... I've checked to make sure directx is up to date, nvidia drivers are up to date as well and win7 has all updates applied. I'm aware I could easily fix this by just setting pwnboxer to stick the client into the foreground but doing that reduces some of the usefulness of windowed mode where you can still bring other applications in front of the wow client like firefox or skype. Any suggestions or ideas are welcomed. Last edited by xartin; 07-15-2011 at 08:08 AM. |

| That is a bug I have heard before, something with windows 7. In fact, somebody (unrelated to WoW) made a program to fix that issue. I linked it somewhere on these forums, try and dig it up? I'm on my phone now so can't atm. But it definitely is linked on the forums. |
