[SOLVED]Pwnboxer broke. :(.

Ok, im on vista and have been using pwnboxer for a while.. and recently its started acting worse and worse and now has stopped working entirely. When i try to run it it comes up with the little box with the text about the updates, but thats all it loads. I can close that text box and on my windows task bar i will still have something that says "pwnboxer" but its impossible to maximize and stays minimized, even if i right click it the only options are close and minimize, everything else is greyed out.

Before reinstalling or running it striaght from the exe and not a short cut would fix this. Today i have tryed both and niether work, now when i load it it often says my registration key is invalid and asks me to re input it, which i do and then it says its valid but only loads the text box about updates. If i run it as admin it asks for my registration key but always says its invalid. I have tryed restarting my comp, running it as admin, creating new shortcuts, and running it striaght from the exe.

EDIT : Yes, i am running the latest version.

Tim Edit so people can have answer without reading all thread: Go to the task bar, right click Pwnboxer, do Reset Position.

Ok, i have found a sort of solution but i hope someone can still help me find a better one, this is a temporary one i suppose. When i go to reinstall pwnboxer and its done downloading and i open it with winrar, if i use the pwnboxer.exe while its in winrar, before i unzip all the files to a destination on my computer, it will run. But this way i have to re set up my binds i want broadcast, my dockable clickmapping, the size of my windows, my gamepaths, etc etc etc ANY TIME i close pwnboxer.
I guess ill keep it open until i can get a solution. Maybe its where im dumping it and vista doesnt like it.. ill check.

Open your PwnBoxer.pbcfg file.

Fine these 2 lines:
"Main Window Left" : (some number),
"Main Window Top" : (some number),

Set the values to 0.

Pwnboxer is loading, it is just off screen. This happens to me every one and awhile and I have values there that are like -33312434 or some other exorbitant number.

Save the pbcfg file and reload PwnBoxer.

or, try to maximize pwnboxer, right click on highlighted bar and choose "MOVE", then press the arrows keys several times and move your mouse.. it should appear in one corner..

Oh snaps, sounds like Pwnboxer IS loading off-screen for some reason. Very interesting. The only way I could think of this happening is if your resolution is changing.

TheMuffinMan is spot on on how to fix this. Open up the pwnboxer.pbcfg and change those 2 lines, it will reset the location of Pwnboxer.

Actually, before you replace it, can you post what it says?

Next time it happens for me I will definitely do this. I just always thought it was something cause due to my ultra-wide resolution (5040x1050).

Note: it hasnt happened for me since the most recent release of Pwnboxer.

Glad I found this, I was having the exact same problem. I would also wrestle with maximize, move and the rest. Sooner or later it would load in view... usually after closing and then reloading. Not sure if it matters but when ever it was out of view Vista would show its tab preview as a blacked out window with 1 line of white text.. or at least thats what it looked like. Anyone know how I would make a batch file to set those values to 0 before it loads each time?

Actually I forgot to mention that you can simply click on Pwnboxer in the task bar and RESET the position

Can anyone else get Alt+F to open the "File" menu in Pwnboxer?

Thats intentional, since alt keys are broadcastable.
