| Any experience with slow addon-loading times using pwnboxer? Seems that I've been getting very slow addon-loading times when I multi, but only sometimes. I don't recall ever having such delays playing solo. I just closed and reopened everything and it went fine, but sometimes it's ridiculous. In fact, I just saw two games open fine, but the third is still loading as I type. I'm running 4 games on 4 hdd's. |

| Try deleting your cache directories in each WoW installation

| So, again, is anyone else experiencing this? |

| I do, but I've decided that it's actually network/Win7 related - basically network issues that in XP would result in a DC instead result in exceptionally long "hang" times. Other than swearing at Qwest and Steve Balmer, I haven't done anything about it.

| Pwnboxer doesn't really have anything to do with addons, or WoW loading at all. The only thing Pwnboxer can do that would have any affect on this I suppose is the CPU tweaking, but that is more wholesome and is not related to addons at all. An example would be if you have a 4 core system, and Pwnboxer ties 1 core only to WoW, then theoretically that single WoW would potentially go slower than having 4 cores. That is about it with what Pwnboxer could do. One thing to keep in mind is that certain addons may have issues with multiboxing in general. For example, addons with GDI/GFX drawing that occurs doing a game window resize may explode, or certain addons which que serialization to file writing may have issues being ran multiple times from the same WoW installation (sometimes Auctioneer for example). None of these things have to do with Pwnboxer at all, but more so about how WoW works. |

| Thanks, Iru. I've got just one dual core cpu running the games, no network there, fyi. Lord but I hate intermittent issues. |

| Addons consume RAM, can cause disk swapping, etc., so also check that. |

| Thanks, Tim. 8gb ram. All's well, except when it's not. :P When it happens it slows to about 10% of normal load times. Sometimes I come to realize it has hung at 99.999% loaded. I haven't really tested this by just loading my games without pwnboxer running, since what's the fun in that, but I can when I have the time. No worries. It's only a minor issue. Cheers. |

| So when you say your addons are loading slow, what specifically do you mean, and how are you measuring the 10%? I've never experienced anything that made me think "Hmm, addons are loading slow". The more I think about it, the more maybe it is simply due to HD IO slowdowns, which definitely occur when even doing 2x multiboxing. Not enough to really matter, but it does occur. |
