| OK, as of now I'm a KC'er <don't boo me plz>, I've been running through these forums and by far it seems like either this forum was made for Pwnboxer, or I'm just way out of date. Why is it that all here are so Pro-Pwnboxer, it seems like 95% PB and 5% else. My look on KC Pros:
Cons:
Pwnboxer Now I'm hearing about how PB is so easy, user friendly, plug and go, I'm not seeing how this is possible, with me only have used KC, it seems like without some setup, you are going to have problems. Now I've heard something on these forums about a mouse passthru type of ability, where on 1 screen you set up a open area, like a fall thru area on the screen of your master, and in that particular square you can pass thru clicks to your slave screen. That to me (being a foreign feature to me) without a doubt seems like the most complex set up I've ever ran across. If I'm not mistaken this particular feature would be the fix for the last con I have above for KC am I right? Another PB post I read in comparison says the thing about KC that makes it complex is the setup that is broken down so much, is there not different segments of that nature in PB, to me thats not whats bad about it, what makes it bad is that, yes, it has all those setups, and absolutely no tooltip or anything explaining what they mean, its like "oh well if you don't understand the lingo u are screwed". Is there an area I can ready descriptive feature by feature on Pwnboxer? Users can you please help me understand the curve in which you say is simple and difficult. A good example for me, is Jamba, I'm sure most of you use it as your addon of choice. Yes it has alot of segmented areas like KC, but they are simple and fairly self-explanitory, (besides that FTL crap and the tag system but thats another post 2bCont.). Last point to end the wall of text, I seen a post that says that switching screens with Pwnboxer, doesn't have the lag that causes you to lose follow, how is that. Thanks all for taking the time to read, plz plz plz respond, because if I hear what I need, not just from the program owner but the community users, I'd like to purchase this program. But hey money is money, I need to be sure, btw I haven't seen what the pricing is on this either... |

| Just take a look at some videos of it in action, Justin.tv - Multiboxing in World of Warcraft - Videos There may be some Starcraft 2 ones, but just look around you will see a crapload of multiboxing WoW with Pwnboxer, which is me, streaming live. Edit: I should also note that I really don't try and "sell" Pwnboxer. People do their research, hear word of mouth, watch live streaming, and if they like it, awesome. If not, awesome. I don't make Pwnboxer to print money, I make it to be a helpful tool for people and sell it to fund the community + continued development which is why it is the best program around imo, esp. with the awesome updates currently being worked on. Also, unlike the owner of KC, I won't abandon the multiboxing community just because my software sales become stale. Fortunately for me, I'm pretty sure Pwnboxer outsells all other softwares combined (times a few I think). |

| The only features KC has that PB is lacking, at least to my knowledge are: - Lifetime transferable license. - Round-robin. - Multiple PC's (one license per PC, but you can network). - A trial period. Pwnboxer has: - Easier set up. - Decent mouse broadcasting. - Dockable Clickmapping (mouse click objects that send keybinds to your window). - Similar key broadcasting and key remapping (hotstrings in KC). If you're curious on other products, google: - AHK (Auto Hot Key) - GCP (Game Commander Pro) - HKN (Hot Key Net) - IS Boxer - Mojo (HKN, version 2 - in beta) - Octopus Some are free, others are subscription based like PB. Some have trials, but not all of them. |

| Even though I'm the owner of Pwnboxer, I have to stress that, as with pretty much everything in life, do whatever makes you happy. My whole dealio with Pwnboxer is that Multiboxing should be fun, right off the bat, without requiring a super computer or a doctorate in Computational Engineering. Edit: Psst, Ualaa, this thread beckons you: Multicyclopedia Request: Interact With Target / Click To Move. You know you can't resist! |

| KC was my first multiboxing program way back in 2008. I still value it as a decent multiboxing software, however it has its limits once you want to step up to a more advanced play style. What I missed mostly was a mouse broadcasting option (KC has some sort of pass-mouseclick, but I never got it to work) and fast, reliable window switching. Quote:
I chose Pwnboxer because it is easy to handle, offers great flexibility and is so far the only(!) software I saw which comes with a throughout step-by-step instruction video. Tbh, the quality of the instruction video was the main reason why I purchased Pwnboxer after all, and I never had any regrets so far. I also checked out IS boxer, and altough it looked promising, it was way too complicated to handle, nothing I would suggest to anyone unless they have too much time on their hands to set it up properly.
