[resolved] Pwnboxer not working for win7

Hay, ill give a little background to my issue just incase its a little unclear as to the issue.
A few months ago during april i bought pwnboxer to Recruit'a'friend level when my sister who just started playing wasnt around and i was using XP 32bit SP3 home premium and it worked like a dream never a fault i loved using it, i stopped leveling and in turn stopped using pwnboxer.

Until recently with patch 4.2 allowing Recruit'a'friend upto level 80 so again ive decided to use pwnboxer at the time i was on vista 32bit home premium and it just wouldnt work windows wouldnt resize pwnboxer had no control over anything, i looked around googled etc. and found a few people having the exact same issue mostly older threads and with 64bit vista, i believe tim said it was an issue with errors in the registry to someone with the exact same (from what he had said) issue as me.

I decided well i dont like vista ill throw on Win7 ultimate 32bit instead which i did yesterday again pwnboxer worked i was happy, unfortunately the problem arose when i needed to restart my computer asoon as i did that pwnboxer no longer worked the EXACT same problem as on the vista install, and i did a complete reformat and clean install when i put win7 on not an upgrade.

tl:dr had issues with vista and pwnboxer not resizing windows installed win7, worked till a PC restart now the same issue as on vista.

Lots of paragraphs but no description on what the problem is! If your license shows as invalid you simply need to follow the directions to reset/rebind your license.

There are thousands of people using Pwnboxer with Windows 7 so I know it works for sure.

maybe you missed it, the windows arent being resized at all and pwnboxer seemingly has no direct control over the wow windows. nothing wrong with my license i can log into pwnboxer / rebind it easily as i mentioned the problem was something i saw a lot of vista people complaining about so i formated and installed win7 it worked up until a computer restart now im getting the exact same issue

Check to see what windows installed for updates, see if something got corrupt.

Make sure you are totally patched including all service packs.

Make sure you do not have AV software interfering and that you are an administrator.

Every time the situation has came out it has always been one of those things mentioned above.

Did all updates post to finding out the problem didnt fix it, Even tried an older version of pwnboxer, running each version as admin with wow as admin again with wow not as admin tried running in compatability mode. The only thing i did between it working and not working was install adobe flash and lowerping (lowerping forced me to do a restart) and then it wouldnt work. im not using LP while using pwnboxer its only for when i raid.

ok so i removed LP and adobe flash and it works going to reinstall 1 at a time and test my money is on Lowerping because im sure everyone else has flash installed and running it. not sure why LP would affect the control pwnboxer has over wow especially when lp wasnt running when it wasnt working.

Yea it definitely isn't flash, I would say 100% of all PB Win7 users have flash.

I can't speak for Lowerping though, it could definitely be possible that it installs something that attaches to/corrupts some sort of internal/process that WoW or PB uses.

It most probably is lowerping, im assuming it for some reason takes control of the wow windws. I had the same issue with teamviewer.

Hi i just bought pwnboxer last night and was having the same issues where keys were not copying and the WOW windows were not reacting to pwnboxer either.

I wasnt even using lowerping at the time i was running pwnboxer it was just having conflicts some how.

I uninstalled lowerping and that resolved the issue...

It would be nice to be able to atleast have lowerping installed to be able to use pwnboxer. Even if i have to choose which program to run but dont have to uninstall one or the other.

Is this something that might be looked at down the track?
