| I goggled that error message and all the response websites are suggesting doing a system file scan check to see if your os is corrupted.I have posted 3 suggests to try out to resolve the error issue let me know how it worked out for you. 1:So basically try updating your os with windows update, if that does not fix the problem then try doing the system files scan and check to see if your os files are broken and let it fix them. 2:If this don't fix the error problem then maybe try upgrading your OS also make sure you give pwnboxer your windows fire wall permissions. And also try running it as an administrator. 3:Also make sure all the files of pwnboxer are in the same file it was extracted to and creat a short cut to the .exe file and you can then drag that to your desktop and right click the short cut and run as admin.Anyway point is in this suggestion don't separate files that depend on each other. As for as the website things not sure what to say. Last edited by Daedric; 01-09-2012 at 03:07 PM. |

Repairing windows probably won't even solve half the issues it's causing right now. Don't forget your documents and browser settings etc (in the user/<name>/Appdata folder), saves a ton of time later! xD (dont just copy paste the whole folder on new windows though hehe | |

| Just wanted to mention that somehow I missed this post, but I think I know what your issue was. I'm glad you resolved the issue by the way, re-install of Windows seems to fix 1000s of issues. I myself do it all the time ![]() Okay so firstly, the pwnboxer website is un-pingable, just to stop floods and whatnot. Second, the error you were getting is actually a Windows Security ACL error. That means, for some reason, Windows is denying the execution of Pwnboxer. This typically happens for one of 2 reasons: #1) Your AV software created an ACL entry in windows that says "Don't run pwnboxer". This can happen sometimes if your AV has a pop-up window saying something like "Do you wish Pwnboxer to interact with Wow.exe" or such. If you ignore the window, eventually it turns into a NO. I'm not sure how to remove this, I just know that essentially your AV creates the entry, but the entry is inside Windows security list, so once the entry is created, the AV doesn't do anything else (except remove it), so technically, you could disable your AV and the problem still exists. #2) You somehow manually activated the Windows ACL deny list and added PB to it. I have no idea how you might have done this, but I know you can right-click on the Pwnboxer.exe and set some things there. I've only heard of this maybe 2 other times in 3-4 years and I vaguely recall the user saying they clicked YES/NO to a popup before it happened real fast, too fast for them to know what they are clicking (sort of just an instant reaction). I'm guessing maybe something like this could of happened. Either way, the reinstall always fixes everything, and I'm guessing your PC feels a lot faster Just make sure to run Windows Update, update your Adobe Flash, all that good stuff.Have fun multiboxing! |
