Hello, Trying to setup Pwnboxer on my home PC. It has been successfully set up on a laptop already. I am certain when purchasing I am allowed to setup Pwnboxer on 2 computers, please inform me if I misread that. I was pretty sure it said up to 5. Anyways, downloaded PB, click on it and get the "Register PwnBoxer" box. From here I have tried: 1) Entering my original serial number into the registration key box 2) Entering Activation ID into the registration box 3) Rebinding with serial number 4) rebinding with Activation ID 5) Tried rebinding with both original serial number and activation key with first and last name in caps and with last name only (first letter capitalized). For numbers 1 and 2 I get "Wrong Registration Key" message. For the rest I get " Sorry you entered either an invalid Computer ID, Serial number, or customer information. Please check your records and Go back. " *EDIT: I have also attempted to re-regiter with the original link assiming that I may get a new registration code. The Query responds with "Sorry you entered an invalid serial number or your Computer ID codes do not match." I have tried cutting and pasting along with manually typing the numbers in. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance Last edited by gaussian00; 02-13-2011 at 09:50 AM.

Ack, Just read the EULA. When I purchased it I thought you could use it on more than one comp. Looks like the license is for one comp only. Please confirm that it cannot be used on more than one. It's a great program so I am not complaining but if I am confused please correct me.

As far as I know its only 1 computer. Thats why I asked a while ago about setting it up on my laptop or at an internet cafe, however tim said I can rebind the PC a few times but after too many times it'll lock the registration code and will no longer be valid as due to suspicious sharing activity. I have considered buying a second copy just so I can have it on my laptop but I'm not sure how it would handle the 5 wow accounts, as it doesn't have a super high processor with only an Athalon II x2 2.1Ghz, and Raedeon Hd 4250 Graphics. So yeah, not too worried about it at the moment, perhaps later when I get a more umphable gaming PC.

If you wanted to transfer from the laptop to the desktop, that should certainly be allowed. People to upgrade their systems and all. As long as you're the only user using the program, even a one registered user only program should allow you to transfer it back and forth between systems as long as they are both yours and not being shared. You might have to contact Tim periodically to reset your code or whatever, if the registration server eventually locked out your code. I'm not even sure if this would be an issue. Keyclone allows any user with access to the registration email to re-bind it to a new computer. Just run the program, get the dialogue box about it not being registered, click a button, open the email and click a link. Simple and fast easy transfering.

It is licensed to 1 system, however, I do allow you to change it from one system to another on a limited basis, such as if you play on a new system and whatnot. I have a system in place that auto-detects when this is being abused to curb key sharing and whatnot, but a transfer or two won't be a problem.

If you think about it, five-boxing costs $900/year for the subscription fees alone. Blizzard averages an expansion every two years; five copies is another $200 or so, which equates to $100 per year. The cost of any of the boxing softwares is almost nothing in comparison.
