Hi guys/gals and the rest. I have looked all over the forums and google to see if Pwnboxer works on LOTRO , could someone tell me conclusively if this amazing program does work with LOTRO, I notice its WOWtastic and well thats all fine and Dandy, but i dont play WOW, i know Tim said it should work, but should isn't will currently I have two lifetime subs set up, 2 seperate folders on two seperate drives, and can logg into both without issue. ALT TAB is the only way i can play though, and this is a nightmare, thanks again in advance for reading and replying , and I aplogise for my lack of input to this forum and the multiboxing community, sadly im as new to this as a fish is to ice hockey. thanks again Mouse,

Well i think the graphics are more mature than WOW and I still play Dungeons and Dragons a lot too, but no real need to multibox that game. Seems like LOTRO is about as popular as thrush. Now you see why I am so desperate to get Pwnboxer working, their lfm system is utter crap, only last week did i find they have a hidden globallff (looking for fellowship) room. Grouping is so random, however if there are LOTRO Pwnboxer people out there and they are too ashamed to admit it, feel free to pm me. Its not about judging people. thanks again for reading my post, and I look forward to hearing more rebuttles about DDO now.Mouse

Pwnboxer has the ability to attach to any game process. Does LOTRO launch directly (such as by running WoW.exe) or do you have to click on a game launcher first? If it runs directly, just put the .exe file into Pwnboxer's normal game path. If it requires a launcher, go figure out the final .exe name that is run, and put this into the advanced options of pwnboxer. Then start the launchers first manually, start up both games, then click START ALL GAMES on pwnboxer to "gain control over" the games. Let me know how it works, I'd love to tweak things if we need to for LOTRO. | |

Hi Tim thanks for the fast reply, I'm a layamn, (pronounced lame man) when it comes to .exe files firstly i have jusrt bought the program, because i thought it would be best if i try it myself, rather than waiting for someone else to do it. right, there are 2 .exe files, one is a turbineinvoker.exe and one is turbine launcher.exe launcher.exe does this below if i put the two seperate paths for the launcher.exe into pwnboxer, the enter your password and select server screen appears twice, so thats all good. Password in, and lotro loads up 2 seperate instances, but not split screen, so basically pwn boxer is just acting like a shortcut to load the games. invoker.exe does this below loads only one instance of the game, and then if i click either game launcher manually, it says lotro is already running. if I click on stop games in pwnboxer, nothing happens, and if i reclick start games, it tells me in my lotro loadup box that the game is already running. to clarify, when you say launcher, do you mean the box b4 the game loads, coz thats the box i use, it dont load lotro fully and then ask me for password and selected server, it loads a small box up first asking me my username and password and the server i wanrt to play on. Then the game loads and it send me to my character selection screen. im sorry if i am confusing people, but im late for work, so rushing this out, hope we can sort this will reply when i get home thanks again mouse

Thanks for the info, that does help a lot. I think what I really need to do is get my hands on a trial version or something, I don't even need an account, just something to run and see how it performs. Mouse is it possible that you can create trial accounts off your existing Lotro account? WoW lets you "Recruit a friend" and give them a 10 day free pass. Can you do something like that? It would help me testing, a lot. Maybe even 2 passes if you can!

well lets hope all you brain boxes out there can sort this, its not rocket science, if it was i would be on the NASA forums, belive me I've tried, and they failed to find a solution, however they did tell me they plan to try to run the program from space, so stay tuned for the next shuttle launch. Houston we have lift off, "oh Sam we are not in the shire anymore", "Yes Frodo you right. Maybe we can land the ring in Mordor on our final decent, if the re entry dont burn up the one ring before hand. im sure it's cheap gold anyway" mouse

reading the forums there are a few peeps keen for Pwnboxer to work on LOTRO. after buying the program and still not being able to figure out how to get it to work, i hope the few are not forgotten. I am sure its a simple fix, not even a program tweak thats needed, the main problem is not as many people play this as thet do WOW . Please don't let the issue get swept under the carpet, and like i said before, if your too ashamed to admit you play LOTRO i wont be judging you, just PM me if you find a workaround. happy gaming guys, and even happier gaming for me if I get this awesome program to work. Its like having a bloody Ferrari parked on the drive and no keys to use it. I know what its capable of, and i just want to get my hands on it. only now the little pwnbox icon is sitting there, looking at me. Help me find the keys, so i can test the little beauty and hopefully not crash and burn on the first bend i come too. (yes i am full of little random quotes, it makes my 3 line posts look more, fuller )
