| Hi all, I have a question that I would like to ask all of you. I have been playing 4 locks and a healing druid together for about a week now. I have just been using jamba, Keyclone and opening 5 instances of WoW on my PC. Now, for toughs of you who don't know how keyclone works, it just broadcasts all key stroks to all instances of wow. My major problem is, that the 4 of the chars is on follow of the main char. I donīt know is there is any way around this, but it's just quite anoying. It also makes me think, that it would be imposible to play in melee if the 4 chars is on follow? They also tend to end up facing the wrong way in pvp, which i really donīt like either. Would it change anything to use another program? and if so, what? |

| Senior Member | There is a beautiful little gem called "InteractWithTarget" that makes things like groups of melee etc possible (and PvP). Interact with Target + Click to Move = Win - Multiboxing in World of Warcraft and Beyond!

| Senior Member | Sadly the follow is the same for everthing, but the InteractWithTarget is part of the WoW interface.

| Keyclone is a very nice software to start with. The initial set up, to get the game to recognize your wow clients, is not the easiest. But once you have it running, it is very simple to work with. It will broadcast every key to all windows. You can blacklist certain keys to not broadcast to any window. And you pause the broadcasting entirely. Plus there are hotstrings which is effectively key remapping - A in this window becomes something else in the next window. If you are willing to go with, keybinding some things and leaving others unbound, on a client to client basis, and use wow macros entirely, Keyclone will work quite well. It is seriously lacking, on the mouse broadcasting and PiP swap speed. But it is more then adequate for everything else. I will strongly recommend looking at other boxing software options. If you are comfortable with editing scripts, Hot Key Net (HKN) is free. And it can do literally anything you want it to; just use your judgement and don't have it do things which are bannable. Of the pay options, my preference is IS Boxer, for its ease (once you understand how it works) and flexibility. However, GameCommanderPro and PwnBoxer are both worth checking out too. Each of these is easier to configure (no scripts) then HKN, but are pay options. Some offer a trial, which is a no risk option on your part, to see if the software is for you. For Interact With Target (IWT) to work, you need to Keybind it in Warcraft. It is in the targeting section of Keybinds. You will also need Click to Move (CTM) to be enabled, in Interface - Mouse Options. At its simplest, spam both this key, and your melee dps moves. Your toons will run into melee, and once they reach the target, circle it constantly. IWT does not reset the swing timer or such, so no DPS is gained or lost. I really think IS Boxer is one of the best options, because of the flexibility. You can create a "two-step" keymap, where one action 1 you send output 1, and on action 2 you send output 2. With the recent Keyboard API change, Blizzard has given us the option to register events on both key down and key up states. I have a Keymap which sends IWT to my "melee action target group" on key down, and then sends my DPS key to each character on key up. Naturally, being in the FTL DPS keys, the slaves automatically attack the target of the active character, without the need for any warcraft based macros -- just drag spells onto the same hot bar number. |
