| I solo play WoW on Ultra settings, then I exit the game and want to multibox. When WoW starts the settings are not Ultra anymore on my main (The alts use another wow with low settings). I don't know what settings my main has, but the shadows are just small dots on the ground. The gfx option inside pwnboxer is toggled off, and has never been on. Anyone know how I can fix this ? I have to manually sett the settings to Ultra each time I want to play. As you can see, this option is off. And has never been on. Last edited by deadca7; 03-09-2010 at 03:29 PM. |

| I'd guess, both the slaves with lower settings and the main with ultra settings are pointing to the same warcraft executable. So on exit, it saves the current settings. Ensure the master toon is pointing to one directory, while all of the slaves are pointing to the other. If that's not the case, you'll need someone who knows more of Pwnboxer to help. |

| WoW has a bug with Shadows that exists especially with high end graphic cards, so just make sure you have shadows set to nothing in WoW, this will make those issues go away. Do this, load up Pwnboxer as you normally do. Check each of your game boxes. Do ANY of them have the graphic stuff enabled? (also, You know you can load 1x solo play still with Pwnboxer? Try loading 1x WoW with Pwnboxer (right click on the game window and start) and set it to Ultra beforehand for your solo play. |

| Did some new testing, this time i used High as the profile. I used my backup pc this time, since you said the high end gfx cards had some shadow problem. My backup pc only got 8800 gtx. So I start WoW the normal way. Set it to High profile, and get this ![]() ![]() Log off, and fire up solo boxing with pwnboxer, and get this ![]() ![]() Looks like Pwnboxer turn my shadow down, anyway to disable this ? Just a little offtopic: When I run multiple wow with pwnboxer the wow windows get behind my task bar (or the taskbar is always overlapping the wow windows), when using the standard window profiles that come with pwnboxer. So I have always scaled the windows to fit just over the task bar. Anyway I can get the wow windows to overlap the task bar ? Here is how it looks like ![]() Thanks Last edited by deadca7; 03-10-2010 at 10:08 AM. |

| Senior Member | auto-hide the task bar? (although I do what you do, i make the height a few pixels less in my PB setup so the bottom edge of WoW window is on the top edge of my task bar)

| I have experienced the same problem. I solved it by giving the slaves their own copy of WoW (well actually I used symlinks) so that they CANNOT possibly share the WTF\config.wtf file and I no longer have any issues with multiboxing graphics settings bleeding into my solo play. I do have a general question for folks about graphics settings on slaves though: I generally leave the level of detail up on all my slaves. Is that likely to increase the amount of network traffic I receive? I ask because I spent yesterday trying to clear reg UK on my main team and could not manage it due to cross-team DCs (i.e. all five team members lagging out at the same time) causing the instance to reset. As I think the cause is throttling of my connection upstream, I am wondering if turning down the graphics settings might lower the network traffic.

| Never thought of that Gonna try it out now, and see how it goes. ThanksI do this too, but as I showed in my last post. It has nothing to do with my slaves, it's pwnboxer it self that turn my shadow down. It's not the end of the world (of warcraft) that I don't have shadows, but it's kinda annoying to have to turn it on manually each time i log in. |

| Shadows are the one thing, which seem to kill boxing playability on any system. Every boxing option recommends disabling them completely; I suppose at some point Pwnboxer decided to do this for you, which makes sense when boxing. Multiple clients, in any city/battleground location with shadows on, is not pretty for performance. |
