It is recount for sure, I've verified it on more than a few occasions.

The main reason is due to how recount writes things to files. I'm not sure I would call it a recount bug, more about how WoW serializes files for writing, and having those files open multiple times.

Can you give a steps to reproduce? I'd like to see this on my system. I've used Recount for months and never had WoW crash on me.

If I could boher you to re-read my post, I said it must be Recount + something system specific (I never said it wasn't Recount) because I have used Recount 5+ boxing on 1 machine, all toons running from the same WoW folder, and never had a single issue with it.

Just because you say you "verified it" doesn't make your verification fact and doesn't mean we should just blindly accept it.

What should this do?

Can we have sample conifguration files packaged into the program?

You don't have to accept anything I say. However, if your WoWs are crashing, and you have Recount, then disable it as this has helped a lot of people who had crashing and the Recount mod.
