| I'm running Vista 64-Bit, and I'm running WoW in Admin as well as PwnBoxer. First of all, I found this link ([RESOLVED] pwnboxer not working) I had a similar problem and did exactly that and still no fix. Pwnboxer does not control ANY of the open WoW windows, and ontop of that doesn't organize the winodws like I have them set up to be. They are all just full screen... The paths are to wow.exe like they should be, and everything is correct. Please help? EDIT UPDATE: It works with WoW version 3.3.5 but not with anything cataclysm. I had 2 versions installed... help? | just curious but do you have UAC disabled in security center? I know it's terribly annoying in Vista. The reason I ask is i've frequently had computers in at work for service with UAC disabled on vista and it's has some undesired side effects with altering "assumed" user permissions programs use to write and read files and folders. Secondly why run wow and pwnboxer as admin to begin with? it's generally not at all required for wow to work properly. If you are running wow as administrator to address a possible crash problem your more than likely experiencing a problem due to the large memory address awareness issue that blizzard hasn't fixed but will be fixing with the coming 4.1 patch. LAA support essentially is a software option that allows programs to access more than 2GB of memory by design. naturally with 64bit operating systems this is highly desirable. | You might as well be speaking spanish. No UAC isn't disabled, should it be? Also, I've tried running with and without Administrator. Like I said, it works great with version 3.3.5 but doesn't even wanna try to work with 4.0.6. EDIT: I just wanted to add, I never have problems with crashing. My system is very well capable of running 3 World of Warcraft Clients which is what i'm trying to do. Like I said many times before, it runs 3.3.5 very well just like its supposed to. but 4.0.6 will open up 3 copies (NOT in the screen lay out I have set in pwnboxer) and will not share any keys or do anything its supposed to at all. Including closing all games. I have to manually close all of them... Whats weird tho is that in pwnboxer if I set "force maximized windowed mode" it will open all of them maximized. If I don't it opens then in windowed mode. So it obviously changing something, it just doesn't wanna have anything to do with the clients once they are open. | You can disable UAC, but doing so is not recommended as that is one of the largest security features of windows versions more recent than XP. Unfortunately, I'm not sure on the PB issue, but bumping the thread a bit will increase the chances for Tim (or someone who knows PB very well) to notice. |

Hopefully It will be fixed before a year is up lol. I also paid to open 2 more accounts and they are just sitting there at the moment. I'de rather not pay for another program such as keyclone because I like pwnboxer but if I cant fix it idk what i'll do. | |

| In the meantime, you could take a look at Hot Key Net or Auto Hot Key, as they're both free programs. Of those, I'd think HKN is more user friendly, as there is a "sample script" on their site HotkeyNet: Home. Hopefully you don't have to wait long, as PB does have a really nice appearing GUI, and many of the users describe it as really easy to configure and such. |

| This support isn't very fast support lol even after 4.1 it still doesn't work. I have tried everything changing WoW settings to even looking into what version of DirectX I have and all kinds of stuff. Plain and simple, I can open up older versions of WoW and it works great. but When I open the clients through pwnboxer 4.1 It does absolutely nothing but open the clients... it doesn't put them in the positions i have set, or have any control over them what so ever. Altho I can open half clients 3.3.5 and half clients in 4.1 and all of the 3.3.5 clients and were they should be and under control, but 4.1 clients are just large windowed mode versions that aren't linked to pwnboxer at all. |

| i do vagely recall having issues with vista when i started using pwnboxer. it's been years since so I dont recall specifics however the bugs vista had and as I believe I previously mentioned my experiences with disabling UAC and the constant software lag in vista certainly had a lot to do with cementing my decision to gtfo of vista asap. To be completely honest ditching vista for windows 7 x64 was a decision I have no regrets about making. Realistically pwnboxer works fine with 4.06 and 4.1 on my machine with the exception of needing a couple adjustments to be compatible 4.1 to address with how wow clients have changed processing battle.net authenticator input. I'm honestly of the opinion there's no fault with the pwnboxer but rather possibly you might consider reinstalling windows.. if you've had a vista install running for more than a year i'm fairly certain you may have larger problems that need to be addressed before any issues could be resolved to stabilize the use of other software on your system. maybe you could post some computer specs? additionally I'd suggest running a registry cleaner scan with a trial of PC Tools Registry Mechanic. I'd be suprised of registry mechanic didn't find at least 300 registry errors on any windows vista system. With any operating system the consistency of your OS will equate to the reliability, overall health and usability of your computer. |
