I saw this issue posted before but all of the replies seemed to always say that the OP was doing something wrong and it wasn't pwnboxer causing the issue, but here is my problem. I have 5 wow's set up on pwnboxer. Wow 1: No limit to FPS using all CPU cores no graphics level manipulation This window used to run at 60 FPS all the time, no matter what. Wow's 2-5 Max FPS:15 Max BG FPS: 10 Low Graphics again using all cores (8) Now, this problem wasn't always here, it only recently started happening and I have no idea what I changed or what I did, but for some reason my main wow window (wow 1), which should always be at 60 FPS is always stuck at 30 FPS no matter what I change. If I go into graphics options and turn off V-Sync my FPS goes up to 170ish, but then once I hit apply and the window reloads, pwnboxer loses control of it. After that I have to manually close the game as I can no longer broadcast keys from the main window. I've tried making new profiles, moving windows around, etc, but nothing seems to be working. Edit: When I try to disable V-Sync and change anything in the video settings, pwnboxer reverts my changes once I reload the game, what gives? Last edited by Briarknit; 06-02-2010 at 02:04 PM.

Not sure if PB has settings for graphics or not, aside from the maximum FPS. I know when V-Sync is enabled, the computer tries to give you a full multiple or factor of 60, as the only numbers for your frames per second. You could possibly adjust the V-Sync setting, via the text file, config.WTF. Even if the FPS are reported as 70 or 170, 60 FPS is the maximum for 99% of the monitors out there; check the hertz setting of your monitor, that's the maximum FPS you'll actually get in any game.

right but what is causing it to restrict it to 30 when it used to be 60?

ok i think i've figured it out, whenever my main window is running in the "background" it goes to 30 FPS even though it has no background FPS limit, and when it is the "main" window its FPS goes back to 60, but for some reason even though window 1 is my active window, Pwnboxer still doesn't see it as the current main window and restricts it to 30 FPS =/ Edit: Yup, just happened again. I was at a smooth 60 FPS while running around sunstrider isle and then BAM locked at 30 FPS again. I'm trying to get pwnboxer to realize that I am using my main window but its not working =/ Last edited by Briarknit; 06-02-2010 at 03:02 PM.

Yup, basically you will want to use the FPS limit on all, or none at all. So set it to 60/30 on your main, and then lower on your alts. I'm going to be raising it to like 200 in the upcoming PB, but 60/30 the main for now instead of unchecking it.

| Does the FPS limit take a few seconds to take effect? Because now that i changed the settings to what you said and started it a few times it always starts up and the main window is stuck at 30 FPS but seems to go to 60 after waiting for about 10-15 seconds. Ill let you know if it drops again. Edit: Nope, just went back to 30 FPS T_T Tim hALP PLZ lol Edit 2: Tim, could it be because im running all windows from the same directory that it is getting confused as to which window it needs to throttle? 3: Could be my video card, nvidia 8800 GTS 512MB x2 with SLI turned off. Just for kicks I tried turning off all of the FPS limiters in pwnboxer and my main window (the 24" monitor) slowed to 11-20 FPS even though there is only one wow running on that video card (SLI is turned off, so each video card is running its own monitor), so Idk whats up with that. | Pwnboxer settings changes don't take effect till you start the game.
